Presenting 2022-23 DLN All-Area boys swimming teams
DLN Boys Swimmer of the Year – Jake Wang, Jr., Conestoga
FIRST TEAM
Alex Karahalis, Sr., Oxford: Karahalis finished second in the boys 100 fly (48.86) and placed third in the boys 100 breast (56.23) at States. Was named Ches-Mont Boys Swimmer of the Year. At Districts, finished third in 100 fly and fourth in 100 breast, and was first team All-Ches-Mont League in both events. Will swim for Penn State University.
Can Yeniay, Jr., Conestoga: Yeniay finished second in the boys 200 free (1:38.87) and fourth in the boys 500 free (4:28.68) at States, where he also anchored the Pioneers’ first-place 400 free relay team (3:04.51) and was part of the second-place 200 medley relay team (1:32.53). Finished first in the 200 free at Districts.
Eddie Stoltz, Soph., West Chester Henderson: Stoltz finished fifth in the boys 50 free (20.72) at States, where he also finished first in the B final of the 100 back (50.41). At Districts, the Warrior sophomore finished fourth in the 50 free.
Ben Kutufaris, Sr., Malvern Prep: Kutufaris finished fifth in boys 200 free and eighth in 100 free at Easterns. An All-Inter-Ac swimmer, Kutufaris was part of All-American 200 medley relay and 200 free relay.
Tom Moul, Sr., Malvern Prep: Moul finished fifth in boys 100 fly and seventh in 100 back at Easterns. An All-Inter-Ac swimmer, Moul was part of All-American 200 medley relay and 200 free relay.
Brock Whitaker, Jr., Conestoga: Whitaker finished fourth in the boys 100 fly (49.93) at States, where he was also part of the second-place 200 medley relay team (1:32.53). At Districts, was fifth in the 100 fly.
