DLN local roundup: Bishop Shanahan boys lacrosse team rolls to victory

The Bishop Shanahan High School boys’ lacrosse team defeated Bellefonte, 15-2, Saturday. The Eagles were led by Ronan Miller (two goals, won 13 of 14 faceoffs), Joe Devine (five goals, two assists, five ground balls), Mack Manley (one goal, four assists), Christian Touey (two goals), Declan Miller (two goals) and Ben Rodner-Tims (five ground balls)

Downingtown West 9, Conestoga 6 >> In this Friday boys lacrosse matchup, Bret Bergey had three goals as the Whippets posted the nonleague victory. Bram Monroe and Brady Cetera added a pair of goals apiece. Dylan Stang made six saves. Wade Beckstrom and Drew Merschel scored twice each for the Pioneers.

Souderton 6, Coatesville 4 >> Magnus Clousser led the Red Raiders with two goals in this Friday nonleague boys lacrosse defeat. Owen Ellis and Derek Cooper notched single tallies and Jake Van Orden added an assist. Dax Shallis recorded 12 saves.

North Penn 7, West Chester Henderson 5 >> Matt Twohig had a pair of goals for the Warriors in the nonleague boys lacrosse defeat on Friday. Ryan Prete had a goal and an assist, while Seamus Murphy and Miles Donnelly had a goal each. Giules DiLiberto made 11 saves.

Bishop Shanahan 15, Danville 4 >> Devin Mullen had four goals and won seven ground balls as the Eagles rolled to the nonleague boys lacrosse victory on Friday. Joe Devine added three goals and two assists. Ryan Weber, Colin Gaffney (four assists) and Nate Bracken tallied twice each. Ronan Miller had a goal and won 18 of 20 faceoffs.
