Pottsgrove’s Foster, Owen J. Roberts’ Zubey lead PAC contingent at PFTCA Championships

Pottsgrove’s Trevon Foster finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles to lead the local contingent at the Pa. Track and Field Coaches Association State Championships on Sunday at Penn State University.

Foster topped the field in the prelims, then ran a 8.06 in the semifinals, good for third position. The Falcons sophomore ran an identical 8.06 in the final, 0.03 off second place. Chambersburg senior Darion Baumgartner won in 7.89.

Owen J. Roberts senior Claire Zubey placed fifth in the girls’ mile and was a part of the Wildcats’ fifth-place distance medley relay team that also featured Ava Taylor, Grace Fennell and Jane Kratz.

Also for OJR, Andrew McGonigle took eighth in the 3,000 meters (8:37.30) and Nathan Hayes was 10th in the 800 meters (1:57.93).

Phoenixville resident and Penn Charter sophomore Alli DeLisi was the champion of the 800 meters in 2:11.84.

Norristown’s Daunte Bell took 4th in the 200 meters with a 21.94 and he took 12th in the 60 meters, placing 12th.

The Hill School’s Jake Voynar placed fourth in the boys’ long jump with a 21-10.

The Perkiomen Valley 4×800 relay of Abrielle Schweitzer, Lily Tremba, Emerson Whetstone and Sienna Miller placed fifth in 9:36.62.

Individually, Schweitzer finished 17th in the mile (5:20.13) while Phoenixville’s Anna Carruthers finished three spots ahead, in 14th (5:10.67).

Spring-Ford’s boys’ 4×200 relay placed sixth in school-record 1:30.69. The quartet featured Chris Brittingham, Travell Wellons, Leo Aguilar and Mason Scott, who placed 14th individually in the 200 meters.

Boyertown’s Harper Glennon advanced to the semifinals of the girls’ 60-meter dash and finished 10th (7.86).

Methacton’s Zach Willen placed 11th in the 200 meters (22.25) while brother Nicholas Willen was also 11th with a 1:58.33 in the 800 meters.
The Warriors’ Summer Mellow reached the semis in the 60 meters and placed 16th (7.97) and 15th in the long jump (16-2¼).

Hill’s Sarah Kenvin reached the semifinals in the 60 meters and placed 15th (7.97).

Perkiomen Valley’s Mackenzie Owens went 12th in the 60-meters hurdles in 9.23.

PV’s Ian Johnson finished 10th in the boys’ 3,000 meters (8:49.02).
