DLN Roundup: Great Valley tops New Hope Solebury in double OT

The Great Valley girls’ basketball squad improved to 10-3 overall with a 42-39 double-overtime triumph over host New Hope Solebury on Monday in non-league action. The Patriots’ Gia Sioutis paced all scorers with 15 points and Lauren Fredrick added 11 points. New Hope Solebury falls to 6-4.

Tillery is lauded for defense >> The Atlantic East Conference announced that Immaculata Senior forward Tyler Tillery was named its Defensive Player of the Week following a strong week for the Mighty Macs. Tillery had four rebounds and held the conference’s leading scorer to just seven points after averaging over 18 points per game so far this season. This helped Immaculata to a 78-56 win over Centenary in their Atlantic East Conference opener.
In addition, IU senior forward Keith Farmer was named the Atlantic East Conference weekly honor roll for the same period.
Women’s Basketball
Conference honors Lentowski >> The Atlantic East Conference announced that Immaculata sophomore forward Abigail Lentkowski was named to its weekly honor roll for women’s basketball after a strong week for the Mighty Macs.
