Sun Valley 38, Kennett 24 >> In a battle of two of the top teams in the Ches-Mont League American Division, the Vanguards (1-0 division, 7-1 overall) once again got the best of the hosting Blue Demons (0-1, 0-1). Zack Jaffe (121 pounds) and Kane Lengel (133) sandwiched decisions around a Blake Boyer (127) pin and Josh Barlow (189), John Pardo (215) and Bailey Shindle (285) closed out the dual with wins, for Kennett. The Vanguards outscored the Blue Demons 17-6 in bonus points.

Downingtown East 46, Avon Grove 19 >> Paxson Warnock (139) made his season debut and registered a first-period fall for the Cougars (1-0 National, 1-0). Cade McDowell (160) scored a major decision and Ryan Loraw (172) and Felix Mason worked pins to close out the win for East. Avon Grove (0-1, 3-3) got pins from Christian Ford (121) and Garrett Landon (152), a major from Noah Parsons (107) and a 3-1 win from Jagger Vitelli (189).
