North Penn at Quakertown

Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at Quakertown.

Records: North Penn is 0-1 overall and 0-0 in the Suburban One League National Conference. Quakertown is 1-0 overall and 0-0 in the SOL Continental.

Last Week: The Knights fell to La Salle, 37-28. The Panthers won 42-28 over Southern Lehigh.

Players to Watch: North Penn quarterback Ryan Zeltt got off to a solid start last week, completing 18 of 26 passes for 264 yards and a touchdown. The Panthers have a dangerous threat in Tyler Woodman, who returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown last week against Southern Lehigh.

Prediction: North Penn 28, Quakertown 21.

Central Bucks West at Upper Dublin

Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at Upper Dublin.

Last Week: West lost 14-7 to Garnet Valley. Upper Dublin rolled 37-13 over Kennett.

Players to Watch: Eli Boehm is part of a deep backfield for the Bucks. Griffin Pensabene hauled in eight passes for 152 yards and a pair of scores for UD last week in the victory over Kennett.

Prediction: Upper Dublin 21, Central Bucks West 20.

Pennridge at Souderton

Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at Souderton.

Players to Watch: Brennan Fisher piled up 182 yards and two scores on the ground last week for the Rams. Shaun Purvy scored on a 71-yard touchdown reception last week for Big Red.

Prediction: Souderton 27, Pennridge 20.

Central Bucks East at Bensalem

Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at Bensalem.

Records: East is 1-0 overall and 0-0 in the SOL National. Bensalem is 1-0 overall and 0-0 in the SOL Continental.

Last Week: The Pats won 38-21 over Chambersburg. The Owls were a 24-6 winner over Norristown.

Players to Watch: Ethan Shines had 17 carries for 146 yards and two scores last week for the Pats. Defensive tackle Michael Schneider is coming off a dominant performance for Bensalem, even scoring a touchdown last week.

Prediction: Central Bucks East 22, Bensalem 15.

Owen J. Roberts at Wissahickon

Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at Wissahickon.

Players to Watch: Wide Receiver Aiden Wescott had a 70-yard touchdown reception off a deflection last week for Wiss. Wildcat quarterback Michael Reed threw for 157 yards and two TD’s last week.

Prediction: Owen J. Roberts 24, Wissahickon 21.

Methacton at Plymouth-Whitemarsh

Time/Place: Friday, 7 p.m., at PW.

Records: PW is 0-1 overall and 0-0 in the SOL American. Methacton is 0-1 overall and 0-0 in the PAC Liberty.

Last Week: The Colonials lost 21-6 to CB South. The Warriors lost 12-7 to Pottsgrove.

Players to Watch: PW quarterback Aiden O’Brien threw for 95 yards and he also had a 53-yard touchdown run last week. Methacton junior Wes Conover had a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown in Week One for the Warriors.

Prediction: PW 27, Methacton 20.

Pope John Paul II vs. Father Judge

Time/Place: Saturday, 4 p.m., at Ocean City High School (N.J.).

Records: PJP is 1-0 overall and 0-0 in the PAC Frontier. Judge is 0-1 overall and 0-0 in the Philadelphia Catholic League Red Division.

Last Week: The Golden Panthers shut out Archbishop Carroll 23-0. The Crusaders lost 12-9 to Olney Charter.

Players to Watch: Quarterback Luke Terlesky directed a balanced attack last week for the Golden Panthers. Eric Smith is a returning two-way starter for Roman, at running back and linebacker.

Prediction: Pope John Paul II 20, Father Judge 13.

Malvern Prep vs. La Salle

Time/Place: Friday, 6 p.m., at Ocean City High School.

Records: La Salle is 1-0 overall and 0-0 in the PCL Red. Malvern Prep is 0-0 overall and 0-0 in the Inter-Academic League.

Last Week: The Explorers rallied to beat North Penn 37-28. Malvern was idle.

Players to Watch: La Salle’s Stevie Davie is coming off a monster performance: 32 carries for 239 yards and a touchdown against NP. Peter Jones is a big offensive tackle for Malvern.

Prediction: La Salle 28, Malvern Prep 20.

Lansdale Catholic vs. Boys’ Latin Charter

Time/Place: Saturday, 11 a.m., at Ocean City High School.

Last Week: The Crusaders rolled 49-8 over Jules E. Mastbaum. Latin Charter lost 42-6 to Marple Newtown.

Players to Watch: Jacahi Streeter scored as a runner and a receiver last week for the Crusaders. Jayden Baker is a speedy wide receiver for the Warriors.

Prediction: Lansdale Catholic 21, Boys Latin Charter 14.

Germantown Academy vs. Simon Gratz

Time/Place: Friday, 12 p.m., at Ocean City High School.

Records: GA is 0-0 overall and 0-0 in the Inter-AC. Simon Gratz is 1-0 overall and 0-0 in the Philly Public League Independence.

Last Week: GA was idle. The Bulldogs beat Mastery North Charter 19-6.

Players to Watch: Tristan Machado has experience under center for the Patriots. Quarterback Samir Wylie leads the Gratz attack.

Prediction: GA 19, Simon Gratz 12.
