Basketball: Jacob Gray named to coach Oxford
OXFORD- You can go home again. Jacob Gray, who starred on the hardwood for Oxford High School and recently was the head boys basketball coach at Kennett for the last three seasons, has come home and was named head boys basketball coach at Oxford this week pending school board approval.
“Coming back to Oxford to me is a great opportunity not just because I played here but the group of guys that are her,” Gray said. “Watching the team last year something seemed different. They seemed to care about each other if you really pay attention. I look forward to help build around the fact they are hungry to learn and care fora one another.”
The Hornets finished with a 2-19 record last season under head coach Dan Hoff, who was at the oxford helm for just one season.
“We are very excited to welcoming Jacob Home to oxford,” Oxford athletic director Mike Price said. “We are excited to see what happens and I know Jacob is a very good man.”
