Archbishop Carroll 47, Central 14 >> Grace O’Neill scored 20 points to lead the Patriots to the District 12-6A championship Wednesday at La Salle College High School.

The win gives Carroll District 12’s top seed in the PIAA-6A state playoffs next week.

O’Neill hit four threes in her 20-point effort and grabbed five rebounds. Taylor Wilson added seven points and seven boards.

Boys basketball

Archbishop Wood 63, Boys Latin 21 >> The Vikings beat Boys Latin Wednesday to earn District 12’s third seed in the PIAA-6A state tournament.

Jalil Bethea connected on three three-pointers and led Wood with 11 points in the win. Deuce Maxey added nine points.

The Vikings jumped out to a 22-4 lead after eight minutes and never looked back.
