Lower Moreland 46, Wissahickon 39 >> The Trojans had a tough night knocking down shots and lost a tough one to Lower Moreland at home 46-39 on Friday night. Earl Stout had 14, and Morgan Wilson 12 for the Trojans (8-4). Lower Moreland’s Matt Ernst led his team with 13, including three treys.

Archbishop Wood 71, Devon Prep 61 >> Carson Howard scored 17 points as the Vikings picked up the win on Friday night. Justin Moore also added 15 points for Wood.

Bensalem 43, CB West 42 >> The Bucks came up one point short in the SOL crossover action on Friday night despite 14 points from John Lee. Bensalem, the SOL Patriot leaders, was paced by 15 points from Aaron Sanders.

Abington 55, New Hope-Solebury 32 >> The Ghosts (5-4) led 15-2 after one quarter and coasted to the win on Friday night. Kellen Ingram led a balanced attack for the Ghosts with 12 points, while Derrius Lucas added 11.

Cheltenham 63, Hatboro-Horsham 33 >> The Panthers (9-0) outscored the Hatters (1-10) in every quarter and coasted to the win on Friday night. Rasheem Dearry was the only Panther in double figures, scoring 14 points. Noah Schlosser led Hatboro-Horsham with 18 points.

PW 64, Springfield Twp. 45 >> The Colonials (6-5) raced out to a 17-8 lead after one quarter and never looked back in the SOL crossover win on Friday night. Qudire Bennett had a big night for PW, leading the way with 23 points. Jaden Colzie also chipped in with 16 points for PW. Dylan McCormick paced the Spartans (5-5) with 26 points.

Quakertown 58, Tennent 51 >> Quakertown (4-9) outscored Tennent (3-8) 37-17 in the second half and pulled out the comeback win on Friday night. Ty Wilkin scored 20 points to lead Quaketown, while Tennent’s balanced attack was paced by Jeremy Henry and Tim Stanfield with 11 points each.

Girls basketball

GA 44, Villa Maria 39 >> Kendall Bennett’s monstrous double-double sent the Patriots to the win on Friday night. Bennett finished with 22 points, 18 rebounds and two blocks in pacing the Patriots. Jessica Kolecki and Isabelle Casey also chipped in with 10 points apiece.

PW 61, Springfield 16 >> Abby Sharpe led a first-half explosion, scoring 18 of her game-high 20 points as the Colonials (10-0) raced to 46-6 halftime advantage on Friday night. The team connected on eight 3-pointers in the first half.

Abington 89 New Hope 74-Solebury >> The Ghosts (10-1) won a high-scoring affair on Friday night in SOL crossover action. Cire Worley led the Ghosts with 30 points. Abby Bowser and Jaida Helm each chipped in witih 20 for Abington.

Shipley 51, AFS 44 >> The Roos fell a little short on Friday night despite 22 points from Hanna Rhoades. Sakinah Abdus-Salaam chipped in with 8 points for AFS.

CB West 41, Bensalem 35 >> The Bucks improved to 10-2 on the season with a hard-fought win on Friday night. Emily Spratt set the tone with 20 points, 4 steals and 8 rebounds.

Quakertown 48, Tennent 35 >> Quakertown (6-6) went on an 11-4 spurt in the fourth quarter to pick up the win in SOL crossover action on Friday night. Ella Mednick and Chase Dubzak paced Tennent (2-7) with 7 points apiece. Carolyn Sipprell scored 17 points to pace Quakertown.

Lower Moreland 46, Wissahickon 39 >> Jess Dugo scored 19 points and Briana McFerran added 16 more as LM (4-4) raced out to a 26-16 halftime advantage and coasted to the victory. Kaitlyn McGeary kept the Trojans (4-5) in the game with 17 points, while Julia Verrier added 10.

Hatboro-Horsham 51, Cheltenham 20 >> The Hatters (5-3) went on a 24-4 second-quarter run and coasted to the SOL crossover win on Friday night. Emily Thomas paced Hatboro-Horsham with 23 points,

Girls swimming

Souderton 107, CB West 69 >> A big day from Amy Masciulli led the Indians to the SOL Colonial win on Friday. Masciulli won the 200 free (2:09.89) and 500 free (5:47.39) to pace the Indians. Abby Burns also won the 50 free for Souderton (6-3, 3-0). Lina Hoffman paced the Bucks with wins in the 200 IM (2:15.91) and 100 back (1:02.08).

PJP II 82, Boyertown 76 >> The Golden Panthers won just three events, but still pulled out the win on Friday. Henry Phillips won the 100 fly (59.53) and the 500 free (5:14.96) for PJP II.

CB West 98, Souderton 88 >> Connor Mangan led the Bucks to the win, placing first in the 500 free (5:02.43) and helped the 200 medley relay also take first in 1:43.25. Mangan was also a member of the winning 400 free relay in 3:24.87. Souderton’s Robbie Ferlick kept the Indians (5-3-1, 2-1) in the meet with wins in the 50 free (22.60) and 100 fly (55.32).

Boyertown 121, PJP II 49 >> The Bears won all but two events in posting the win on Friday. Shae Gonzalez won the 100 free (1:00.16) and 100 backstroke (1:07.62) for the Golden Panthers.

Girls track and field

Wiss at Lehigh >> Highlights of Friday night included Mila Jovanovic’s 5th place finish in the 60-meter dash in 8.27 seconds and the 400-meter run with a time of 60.93 seconds. Lena Perlmutter added a first-place finish in the pole vault, clearing 10-6. The team will compete again next Friday at Lehigh University.
