Krish Mendiratta cruised at first singles to help the Great Valley boys tennis team handle Bishop Shanahan, 6-1, in Ches-Mont League boys action on Monday. Revant Mediratta won for Great Valley, 6-3, 6-2, at second singles, while the Patriots swept the doubles courts. Shanahan’s Jack Ringenbach won the lone Eagles point with a 7-5, 6-1 win at No. 3 singles.
Conestoga 7, Unionville 0 >> Peter Audiander, Justin Xu and Aaron Sun swept the singles courts as the Pioneers beat the Longhorns in a nonleague duel between two perennial District 1 powers. Conestoga swept the doubles courts with relative ease, including a 6-2, 6-0 win for Manas Dhawan and Basil Lubiniecki at No. 1 doubles and a clean 6-0, 6-0 sweep at fourth doubles for Vincent Yao and Vivek Chelur.
Devon Prep 4, Haverford 1 >> Mitchell Bramlage, Ryan Bill and Jack George won their singles matches as the Tide picked up the nonleague win over the Fords. Bramlage cruised at No. 1 singles, winning 6-2, 6-2, while Bill and George both dropped the first set before winning. Bill won 1-6, 7-5, 7-5 and George recovered for an easier 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 win. The Devon Prep duo of Colin McCusker and Ethan Skorup won at first doubles, 6-7, 6-2, 6-0. The duo of Pat Dean and Matt Egan lost in three sets, 6-7, 4-6, 6-7.
