Stewart steady at the line late as Carroll snaps streak
Amiri Stewart was a perfect 6-for-6 from the line in the fourth quarter to finish with 17 points and lead Archbishop Carroll to a 60-57 win over Catholic League rival Cardinal O’Hara Wednesday night.
The 17 points constitute the second-highest output of the season for the senior guard, coming at the right time to halt a three-game Carroll slide.
Tairi Ketner added 16 points, including six in a fourth quarter where Carroll outscored O’Hara, 14-8. Anquan Hill added 13 points (all in the first half) to go with six rebounds and five assists for the Patriots (13-8, 7-6).
Adrian Irving and Tre Dinkins led Cardinal O’Hara with 16 points each, Dinkins’ total coming via five made 3-pointers. Solo Bambarra added 14 points for the Lions (15-6, 8-5).
