The Reporter/Times Herald/Montgomery Media Golf All Area Teams
Wissahickon’s Elizabeth Beek is among the Reporter/Times Herald/Montgomery Media All Area honorees after a dominant freshman season on the links.
Beek finished third in the District 1-3A championship with a 2-under 141. She followed that up by winning the Eastern Regional with a 6-under 66 and closed out the year by winning the PIAA-3A state title with a 2-over 146.
Joining Beek on the Girls All Area First Team are Archbishop Wood’s Chaela Barnett, Pennridge’s Ashley Ea, North Penn’s Haeley Ekert, Spring-Ford’s Cierra Griffith and Methacton’s Sarah Lawrie.
Barnett finished first in District 12-3A while Griffith and Lawrie led their respective schools to successful seasons in the Pioneer Athletic Conference.
On the boys side, Pope John Paul II’s Paul Brady, Plymouth Whitemarsh’s Dylan Gooneratne and the CB West trio of Nick Hano, Milo Jezzeny and Kevin Lyndon join Player of the Year Josh Ryan on the First Team.
Brady won the District 1-2A championship while Gooneratne qualified for states. The three Bucks led CB West to a perfect 12-0 season in Suburban One League Continental Conference play.
