Lansdale Catholic hires Princehorn as athletic director
Lansdale Catholic High School has hired Mark Princehorn as its athletic director, the school announced Wednesday in a press release.
Princehorn, who previously worked in the Souderton Area High School athletic department and was the Souderton varsity boys lacrosse head coach, starts the position Monday. He takes over for Rob Nydick, who LC hired as AD in February 2018.
“I am very enthusiastic to join a great secondary school community like Lansdale Catholic High School,” said Princehorn in the press release. “I look forward to helping not only the student-athletes at Lansdale Catholic, but the entire school community.”
Princehorn earned an M.A. in Coaching and Athletic Administration from Concordia University, prior to that receiving a B.A. from Ohio Wesleyan University where he played on men’s lacrosse team. The Battling Bishops made the NCAA Division III tournament each year Princehorn was at OWU with the team winning two North Coast Athletic Conference titles.
Princehorn has also previously been a financial representative and account manager for RC Henderson Trust and JG Wentworth.
Working in the Souderton athletic department, Princehorn’s responsibilities included athletic budgeting, event management and equipment. In six seasons as the Souderton varsity boys lacrosse head coach, Princehorn made Big Red into one of the stronger sides in the Suburban One League American Conference. Last year, Souderton finished 14-6 and won the program’s first-ever playoff game — edging Owen J. Roberts 11-10 in the District 1-3A first round.
