Reporter Girls Lacrosse Roundup: McGowan’s 8 goals lead Souderton past Upper Dublin
Riley McGowan powered the Souderton girls lacrosse team’s attack Thursday, the Temple commit scoring a game-high eight goals and also handing out a pair of assists as the visiting Indians topped Upper Dublin 15-13 for an SOL American Conference victory.
Goalkeeper Lauren Scott made 14 saves while Sophia Sclafani scored three times for Souderton (8-6, 4-3), which has won five of six. Randi Hess finished with two goals and an assist while Clark Trowbridge added a goal and two assists.
Julia Reardon’s five goals paced Upper Dublin (9-5, 5-2), which had its five-game win streak snapped. Mack Moore tallied four goals, Becky Browndorf collected three goals and three assists while Jenn McCarry handed out three assists. UD goalie Riley Brady stopped 11 shots.
Wissahickon 18, Council Rock North 6 >> Sam Intrieri had five goals and two assists, Sophia Chiodo Ortiz scored five times and Wissahickon rolled to a second-straight win in the SOL non-conference matchup.
Emma Baker collected her first career hat trick for the Trojans (11-4, 5-2 SOL American), who led 12-2 at halftime. Kelly Dickson added two goals and two assists.
