Upper Darby’s Nmah racks up gold (and bronze) at Diamond State Relays

James Nmah came hold with three gold medals and one bronze medal to highlight Penn Wood’s performance at the Diamond State Relays.

Nmah joined with Timmy Odunjo, Duncan Tarphen and Tayvon Williams to win the 4 x 200. Nmah led off the winning 4 x 800 that included Davon Battle, Keith Barrett and Nate Randall, and was on the triumphant 4 x400 with Tarphen, Odunjo and Battle. Nmah also took third in the 200-meter dash.

Odjunjo led a 1-2 Penn Wood finish in the 300 hurdles with Madda Ngama, who also was third in the 110 hurdles. Williams and Jordin Jones were first and third, respectively, in the triple jump. Jones was third and Willaims fifth in the triple jump.

Williams, Tarphen, Jones and Luckie Tan took third in the 4 x 100, while Tymere Bass, Keith Barrett, Fawaz Fatokun and Desmond Randall placed fifth in the DMR for the Patriots.

Malachi Langley of Chester took third in the 800. Teammate Abdul Griggs was fifth in the 400 and the duo teamed with Dymiere Stevenson and Nishawn Johnson for third in the 4 x 400 relay.

On the girls side, Lowoe Samolu won the 100-and 200, was on the 4 x 200 that finished first and the 4 x 400 that was fourth. Samolu teamed with Elicia Moore, Breanna Lee and Nevaeh Davis for gold in the 4 x 200. Savis, Moore, Ashley Cyrus and Samolu earned the medal in the 4 x 400. Davis was fourth and second in 100 and 200 respectively.

Moore won the 300 hurdles and was third in the 400. Teammate Simone Johnson was fourth in the 100 hurdles. Jiya Clayton of Chester was second in the 300 hurdles and fifth in the 400. She also teamed with Kamani Johns, Christa Massena and Taniyah Lawler for fifth in the 4 x 400. Lawler took fourth in the 300 hurdles.

Radnor’s Luke O’Mally led a 1-2-3 Delco finish in the 800-meter run at the Colonial Relays. Penncrest’s Andrew Woolery was second followed by Radnor All-Delco Ethan Zeh.

The Raiders and Lions and Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Predergast had solid days. Frank Brown and Doug Rosin were second and third in the 1,600 for Radnor. Benjamin Klinger and Patrick Theveny were second and third, respectively, in the 3,200 for Penncrest. Ahmed Barrie was fifth in the 100 and Matt tylek, Josh Senackerib, Patrick Kelly and Matt Kirchgasser placed third in the 4 x 800.

Kevin Love led the way for Bonner & Prendergast with a second-place finish in the 300 hurdles. Teammate Nwabueze Onyemachi was second in the 200. Enoobong Eka (400) and Chilekasi Adele (shot) put) both finished third, while the Friars also were third in the 4 x 400.

Tony Grapham won the 110 hurdles to pace Ridley’s effort at the Temple Relays. Tahmir Wilmore and Damian Suplee-Pringles finished second and fourth, respectively, in the shot put, and the Green Raiders were third in both the sprint medley and 4 x 400 relays.

Ismael American of Academy Park took third in the 1,600, while t he Knigths were second in the 4 x 200, fifth in the 4 x 400 and sixth in the spring medley relay, respectively, on the girls side.
