Pottstown’s inspirational Pearson in New Orleans as VIP guest of Saints, meets Brees
Who dat? That’s Pottstown’s Marvin Pearson in New Orleans this weekend meeting the Saints, head coach Sean Payton and his football hero, quarterback Drew Brees.
Pearson, a Pottstown High School senior who has been blind since age 10, gained national attention after the running back scored a touchdown in the Trojans’ game against Pottsgrove on Oct. 1.
What began as an inspirational story in southeast Pa. morphed into something greater when Pearson was invited to appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
During the appearance DeGeneres surprised Pearson with news that he would be flown to New Orleans as a VIP Guest of the New Orleans Saints to meet his hero Brees and other members of the Saints.
That surprise became reality this weekend with Pearson on hand in New Orleans to meet Brees and be a special guest of the team for their Sunday home game against the defending Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos.
when you finally get to meet your heroes!
