Main Line track wrap-up: Radnor shines at Springfield Invitational

The Radnor girls track & field team had some strong performances at the Springfield Invitational April 30. Julia Havertine (3,200 meters), Zoe Metzger (discus), and the 1,600 meter relay of Ellie Rosin, Caroline Ditrolio, Erica DiCarlo, and Olivia Cooper captured silver medals.

Other medal winners were Cooper (fourth in 800 meters), Rosin (sixth in 800 meters), DiCarlo (sixth in 400 meters) and the 3,200 meter relay of Grace Wakiyama, Addie Cairnes, Lara Kerber, and Allaire Mameniskus which placed fifth.

The Radnor boys also had some solid performances. Hager Neeb was sixth in the pole vault. Aiden Bermudez earned the fourth place medal in the shot put. Doug Rosin and Jack Bell both recorded personal times in the 3,200 meter run.
In other Main Line high school track action:
The Episcopal Academy boys’ track team lost to Germantown Academy, 63-59, April 27. For EA, Jake Jorgenson won the 3,200-meter run with a time of 10:03.89; Jermaine Rhoden won the high jump and triple jump; Elias Lindgren won the 1,600-meter run and took third in the 800-meter run; and Adam Klein, Dee Barlee and James Bagnell went 1-2-3 in shot put.
