PAC-10 Softball Roundup: OJR tops Pottsgrove in extras; Upper Perk, Boyertown, Spring-Ford secure wins

Owen J. Roberts 4, Pottsgrove 2 (F/8) >> The Wildcats rebounded from a long losing skid to top Pottsgrove in extra innings. Camryn Glenn finished the game 2-for-3 with two doubles while Brianna Smith finished 1-for-4 with three RBI.

Alissa Vining got the win in the circle, throwing eight innings while allowing six hits and two earned. Gabi Ermish took the loss as she went eight innings and struck out five.

Upper Perkiomen 5, Phoenixville 1 >> Olivia Young finished a homer shy of the cycle and Lynsey Quinn went the distance in the circle as the Tribe downed the Phantoms in PAC-10 play.

Young finished 4-for-4 with a pair of runs scored batting out of the leadoff spot while Sarah Hiedler finished 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored.

Quinn surrendered five hits, limiting Phoenixville to an unearned run and no walks while striking out three batters. Jess Eldridge took the loss, where she let five runs on 12 hits and a walk. She also finished with an RBI-double.

Boyertown 8, Pope John Paul II 2 >> Sarah Reinert went 3-or-4 with two doubles and one two-run single as the Bears used a six-run first to come away with a victory over the Golden Panthers.

Mandy Kalil pitched two innings, allowing two hits and walking one. Lauren Ferguson came into the game in the third inning and struck out six batters while giving up three hits.

Spring-Ford 16, Pottstown 1 >> Jess Peschel finished the game with three hits (three RBI) along with Bre Kelly as the Rams used a 12-run third inning to come away with a 15-run victory via the Mercy Rule over Pottstown. Bridget Sharkey had two hits and two RBI while Ashley Venella finished with two RBI.
Kelly got the win in the circle after throwing three innings, allowing six hits and one earned while striking out four.
Kat Kincade and Alivia Lopez each finished with two hits for the Trojans.
