Gillespie’s crisp shooting puts Episcopal on right path

Junior shooting guard Shannon Gillespie found her range early as Episcopal Academy stormed out to a 32-point first-half lead and went on to rout Solebury School, 59-21, in Friday’s opening round of the PAISAA girls basketball tournament.

Gillespie led a balanced attack with 11 points. Elodie Furey and Luca Mamula added eight points apiece, while Lily Kuntz grabbed nine rebounds and Reilly Wright dished out three assists.

Episcopal moves on to face Notre Dame in Saturday’s quarterfinals.
