Fannelli, Benson, McBlain win, but Bonner-Prendergast falls

Jules Fannelli won the 200 individual medley, Meredith Benson claimed the 100 butterfly and Tara McBlain was victorious in the 100 backstroke, but Bonner-Prendergast dropped a 98-72 decision to Archbishop Ryan in a Catholic League meet.

In the Central League:

Conestoga 117, Springfield 53 >> Georgia Apostolu finished a narrow second place in the 100 fly, but the Cougars were swarmed over by the Pioneers’ depth.

Boys Swimming

Bonner-Prendergast’s 400 freestyle relay quartet of Liam Vogelman, Luke McDevitt (winner of the 50 free), Jack Ellis (500 free) and Danny Dwyer (200 IM) comprised all three of the Friars’ individual winners in an 83-67 Catholic League loss to Archbishop Ryan.

In the Central League:

Conestoga 96, Springfield 64 >> Chris Fleming claimed the boys 100 back, but Conestoga, led by a quick swim from Brian McKenrick in winning the 100 free, swam off with a comfortable win.
