Friday’s games

Academy of the New Church at Perkiomen School, 4 p.m. 

Record: Academy of the New Church 2-3 overall; Perkiomen School 4-1 overall.

Last week: ANC lost to New Hope-Solebury 9-0; Perkiomen School defeated FCA Bucks 40-0.

Lions Facts/Figures: Up and down season for the Lions who continue to see a bright spot at quarterback in senior Charlie Coyle. … Senior running back Anthony Weizer has one 100-yard game to his credit while senior wideout Cameron Tealer remains team’s most reliable receiver.

Panthers Facts/Figures: Junior safety Steve Ratigan registered a safety and an 8-yard touchdown run in the team’s victory last weekend over FCA Bucks. … Quarterback Brett Ciocari was efficient again with a two-touchdown performance. … Ciocari now has four touchdowns in last three games.

Notable: Panthers haven’t defeated ANC since 2012. In last two losses the team has been outscored 77-6.


Boyertown at Perkiomen Valley, 7 p.m. 

Record: Boyertown 3-2 PAC-10, 3-3 overall; Perkiomen Valley 5-0 PAC-10, 6-0 overall.

Last week: Boyertown defeated Methacton 38-13; Perkiomen Valley defeated Pope John Paul II 56-8.

Bears Facts/Figures: Bears averaging 40 points per game in last two wins. … Senior quarterback Lawrence Garnett has thrown for 325 yards and rushed for 293 yards in past two games. … Bears remain league’s most penalized team, getting flagged 14 times for 128 yards in last week’s win.

Vikings Facts/Figures: Junior quarterback Stephen Sturm has thrown for a PAC-best 1,324 yards with 19 touchdowns and zero interceptions. … Junior running back David Williams is first in rushing touchdowns (9). … Receiver Justin Jaworski is first in receptions (26), receiving yards (454) and receiving touchdowns (6). … TJ Foley is first in PAC in sacks (4.5) and kicker Garrett Patla first in points (37 extra points).

Notable: Vikings have won their last 15 PAC-10 games. Their last conference loss came October 25, 2013 in a 23-12 loss to Pottsgrove. … Perk Valley has scored at least 40 points in five of their six games.


Methacton at Pottsgrove, 7 p.m. 

Record: Methacton 0-5 PAC-10, 0-6 overall; Pottsgrove 3-2 PAC-10, 3-3 overall.

Last week: Methacton lost to Boyertown 38-13; Pottsgrove lost to Spring-Ford 22-13.

Warriors Facts/Figures: Warriors turned in arguably best performance of their season in loss to Boyertown, trailing 19-13 at the half. … Quarterback Jason Eckman threw for 143 yards and two scores. … Dylan Feaster is third in the PAC-10 in receiving yards (335).

Falcons Facts/Figures: PAC-10 leading rusher Tyrell Barr was limited to 29 yards on the ground in loss to Spring-Ford. Wyatt Porter turned in his best game receiving, hauling in three passes for 109 yards and a touchdown.

Notable: Pottsgrove hasn’t lost three PAC-10 games since 2006. … Falcons are still outscoring opponents 188-116 despite three losses. … This will be Methacton’s last Friday night game until its season-ender against Upper Darby (unless school’s turf field is ready to be used next week against Owen J. Roberts).


Spring-Ford at Owen J. Roberts, 7 p.m. 

Record: Spring-Ford 5-0 PAC-10, 6-0 overall; Owen J. Roberts 3-1 PAC-10, 3-3 overall.

Last week: Spring-Ford defeated Pottsgrove 22-13; Owen J. Roberts defeated Upper Perkiomen 37-6.

Rams Facts/Figures: Rams defense registered six sacks in win over the Falcons last week. … Senior quarterback Ricky Venuto has thrown for 17 touchdowns and zero interceptions and leads the area in passer rating (228). … Tim Rudderow is now fourth in sacks (3.5) with Trey Jarmon first in the PAC with two interceptions.

Wildcats Facts/Figures: Wildcats have won two straight games since falling 49-14 to Perkiomen Valley. … Wildcats accrued 266 yards rushing in last week’s win.

Notable: Wildcats have won two straight games since 2012 season where they won three straight. … This is the latest Spring-Ford has been undefeated in the PAC since going 9-0 and winning the PAC title in 2011.


Governor Mifflin at Daniel Boone, 7 p.m. 

Record: Governor Mifflin 2-0 Berks 1, 3-3 overall; Daniel Boone 0-3 Berks I, 3-3 overall.

Last week: Governor Mifflin defeated Pottsville 28-0; Daniel Boone lost to Reading 61-7.

Mustangs Facts/Figures: Lucas Garner leads team with 537 yards rushing with quarterback Hunter Reeser rushing for 377 and throwing for 400 yards. … Dylan Harr leads team in receiving with 206 yards on seven receptions.

Blazers Facts/Figures: Blazers have lost three straight, the past two without starting running back Cinque Ramsey and quarterback Nick Hughes. … Blazers only registered 133 yards of total offense in last week’s loss.

Notable: Mustangs have fumbled 17 times in first six games. … Blazers haven’t lost four straight since it opened the season 0-5 in 2012.

Last week: Upper Perkiomen lost to Owen J. Roberts 37-6; Pottstown defeated Phoenixville 20-0.

Indians Facts/Figures: Indians rank seventh in the PAC-10 in total yards allowed (353 per game) and sixth in total offense (240.3) per game. … Receiver Ryan Kendra is 11th in the PAC in receptions (15 for 185 yards).
