Paolino, McCann lead Episcopal to Inter-Ac crown

Marguax Paolino and Christine McCann won two individual events each to lead Episcopal Academy to its third straight Inter-Ac League girls track championship Saturday. Paolino won the 100- and 200-meter dashes as the Churchwomen nearly doubled up Notre Dame to win the team title. She also finished third in the 400 to personally account for 26 of EA’s 154.75 team points.

McCann and Madison O’Reilly went 1-2 in the shot put and discus to pile up a lot of points for the Churchwomen. Teammate Alexis Malmberg was second in both the 800, and 1,600 and took fourth in the 3,200. Tara Boyle won the high jump and fourth in the 400.

Mikayla Schneider captured the 400 and 800 to lead Notre Dame. Sydney Stribrny captured a silver medal in the 3,200. Katy McCullough finished third in the 100 hurdles, while teammate Danielle Bunten was second in the 300 hurdles. The Irish also won the 4 x 100- and 4 x 400-meter relays.

Marin Bloise was the top performer for Agnes Irwin. She won the 300 hurdles and the long jump.
