Shuttleworth leads local All-Berks Section 2 award winners
The Berks County Football Coaches Association held its annual awards ceremony last month in which the Section 1 and Section 2 All-Berks selections were announced.
The local teams were led by Schuylkill Valley’s Ed Shuttleworth who was named to the First Team Offense as a running back, and the First Team Defense as a linebacker. He had an amazing season for the Panthers, rushing for 1,462 yards on 222 carries (6.59 yards per rush). He also caught six passes of 166 yards and ran into the end zone 27 times.

Offensive Back of the Year: Tyler Emge, Fleetwood
Receiver of the Year: Michael Allen
Offensive Lineman of the Year: Jack Wertz, Wyomissing
Defensive Back of the Bear: Isaac Lutz, Berks Catholic
Linebacker of the Year: Eric Bodolus, Berks Catholic
Lineman of the Year: Colin Maluchnik, Wyomissing
Coach of the Year: Bob Wolfrum, Wyomissing.
