Exeter’s Shannon Restrepo signs to play volleyball at Kutztown University

A local volleyball standout will continue her playing career at Kutztown University. Shannon Restrepo, who played scholastically at Exeter High School, has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Golden Bear volleyball program beginning in the fall of 2015.

Restrepo was a three-year starter as a setter for the Eagles and helped lead her team to a 56-6 overall record, including 42-0 in Division I of the Berks County Interscholastic Athletic Association (BCIAA). Exeter won the Berks County championship in 2012 and 2014.

Individually, she is a three-time first team all-Berks County and District Three AAA all-star selection as well as a two-time AAA all-state pick. The 2014 all-state team will be announced in December.

“We’re thrilled to have Shannon joining our program,’ KU head womens volleyball coach John Gump said. “She is one of the top high school players in Pennsylvania and she brings a great skill set along with outstanding physical ability and a highly competitive nature. I look forward to using her versatility to help make our team better in 2015.’
