Barr, Ellsworth come through for Delco Christian

Jackie Barr and Emma Ellsworth scored off penalty corners on either side of halftime to lead Delco Christian to a 2-0 win over Plumstead Christian Monday.

Jamie Madison made the goals stand up with five saves for the shutout for DC (8-6, 8-4 Bicentennial).

In nonleague action:

Agnes Irwin 6, Archbishop Carroll 2: Julianna Tornetta had a hand in five goals (three goals, two assists) as the Owls won their ninth game in a row.

Sophie Tornetta added two goals and a helper, and Rosie Kalis came up big in goal with 21 saves for the Owls (10-1), who led 4-1 at halftime.

Gracie McClatchy collected both of Carroll’s markers.

Episcopal Academy 4, Conestoga 0: Lexi Fisher and Christy Palazzese scored twice each as the Churchwomen rolled.

Courtnie Williamson and Corinne Zanolli collected a pair of assists each, and Rachael Farmer (two saves) and Bridget Boyle (five saves) shared the goaltending load.

Oxford 6, Upper Darby 2: Tolu Olubajo and Bridget Johnson scored, both off assists by Kerianne McGee, and Tina Lugowski made 10 saves between the posts for the Royals.

Sun Valley 4, Academy Park 1: Maddison Corrento scored all four goals for the Vanguards, two of them assisted by Jess McGarrey, to key the victory.

Riley Street scored the goal for the Knights.
