Savoth’s goal gives Strath Haven a draw

It took a little late drama, but Strath Haven escaped Springside Chestnut Hill Academy with an exciting 3-3 draw Tuesday in nonleague action.

Evan Savoth’s second goal of the night came off a Miles Jefferson assist with a minute left in extra time to peg back a goal by the host Blue Devils. Jack Borbee also scored for the Panthers (1-0-1), while Joe Soffer and Will Haury chipped in assists. Matt Eiel made 10 saves in net for Haven.

In other nonleague action:

Episcopal Academy 1, St. Joseph’s Prep 1: Matt De Pillis scored with five minutes left in regulation off a feed from Aaron Bogle to keep the Churchmen (4-0-1) unbeaten this season.

Matt Freese, who conceded EA’s first goal of the campaign, battled back to make four saves.

Radnor 3, Interboro 1: Max Barish scored twice, and Alex Egg-Krings added the other tally as the Raiders (1-2) open their win account on the season.

Adrian Moscol and Rodrigo Castro added assists, and Ben Toomey made three saves for Radnor.

Foday Kayateh scored Interboro’s goal off a cross from Diego Lopez.

Harriton 2, Academy Park 0: The Knights’ Emmanuel Ortiz had a memorable goalkeeping debut with 11 saves, but a goal on either side of halftime doomed AP.

Oxford 6, Chichester 2: Jared Sullivan and Austin Wilson found the back of the net, but it wasn’t enough for the Eagles.
