Speedy Sciarrino helps Springfield rout Lower Merion
Chris Sciarrino posted the fastest of Springfield’s five pins, flattening his opponent in 44 seconds at 126 pounds, as the Cougars crushed Central League foe Lower Merion, 50-9.
Dennis Charamella (138), Dwayne Snipes (152) and Joey Sciarrino (160) also had first-period falls and sophomore Sonny Pastore, who has shown marked improvement throughout the season, added a second-period pin at 195.

Upper Darby 69, Harriton 5: Just five of the 14 weights were contested on the mat, including Pat Kane’s 13-second fall at 145 and a 58-second pin by Madhat Fares at 182, enabling the Royals to make quick work of the Rams.
Milton Rahman added a second-period pin at 138 and freshman Colin Cronin continued to impress with a 9-2 decision at 132.
