Fleetwood plays three games at Disney World

The Fleetwood High School boys’ basketball team got a break from the Berks League season over the holidays when they took a trip to Disney World for the KSA Classic Tournament

While there they played three varsity games (winning one and losing two) and two junior varsity games.

A total of 45 people (19 players/coaches and 26 family members) took the six day and five night trip.

The Tigers got the tournament started on Dec. 19 with a 66.58 victory over Upperman. Tennessee. On Dec. 20, the Tigers lost to Thomas Jefferson, 62-36, then lost to Fountain Valley, California, 68-49 on Dec. 21.

Fleetwood’s Brian Schumacher was voted the team’s MVP of the tournament.

“It was a great experience playing teams from all over the country,’ said head coach Terry Sitler. “But it was the team building and chemistry that developed made the trip even more worthwhile.’
