EA ousted in PAISAA Tournament

One save was all Germantown Friends goalkeeper Pietero Berghella needed to make Thursday to bring Episcopal Academy’ s run in the PAISAA boys soccer team to an end.
Berghella stopped EA’s third attempt in penalty kicks and that was enough to send the 10th-seeded Tigers into the quarterfinals against second-seeded Malvern Prep next week.
The teams battled to a 2-2 deadlock through two overtimes. The Tigers advanced on PK’s, 5-4.
Brandon Sheppard and Zach Viscusi scored for the Churchmen (14-6-4, 5-2-2).
