Apparently, a week-and-a-half delay gave Academy Park a little oomph Monday.

En route to girls tennis coach Reggie Day’s 600th career victory, a 3-2 nonleague win over Haverford High in a continuation from a rainout, Lattana Sithara rallied from behind to take a 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 singles win. Amy Pham and Jenny Vu were neck-and-neck with their doubles opponents in the second set after dropping the first, and eventually won by forfeit, while Vicky Outland (6-4, 6-1) also logged a singles win.

Haverford’s Autumn Francis won her singles match in 6-4, 4-6, 6-2, while the Fords’ Maura White and Cathy Kim took a 6-1, 6-4 doubles victory.

In a Penn Jersey League match:

Barrack Hebrew 5, Villa Victoria 0 >> Gabrielle Hoessly, Abi Gorson Marrow and Dori Hoffman-Filler swept singles play to kickstart the Cougars.
