Methacton at Manheim Central Tournament
Manheim Central >> Bryce Reddington wasted no time moving onto the area’s career-win chart during Methacton’s visit to the Manheim Holiday Tournament.
The Warrior senior reached the 100-win mark in the quarterfinal round of the tourney. He opened in the 152-pound bracket with a 3:20 pin of Manheim Central’s Connor Miller, becoming the 11th wrestler in program history to achieve that feat.
It was part of a pin-fueled sweep by Reddington, whose other falls came against Souderton’s Craig Finkenbeiner (3:00) and Shikellamy’s Dominic Parker (2:52).
Reddington was one of four Methacton grapplers to qualify for gold-medal matches, joined by Corey Morabito (106), Kibwe McNair (120) and Dylan Henry (138). Bolstered by the fifth-place showings of Salaam McNair (182) and Joe Donahue (220), the Warriors finished first in the 14-school standings with 160.5 points.
