Escape the Rock >> Boyertown came out of the first day of the prestigious tournament at Council Rock with six wrestlers still in the championship-belt chase.
Jordan Wood (220) and Tommy Killoran (285) both pinned their first two opponents, joined by Lucas Miller (126), J.T. Cooley (138), Hunter Vogels (152) and Gregg Harvey (182). They will continue their quests for title finishes when the tourney’s semifinal round commences Sunday at 10:45 a.m.
Also continuing in consolations are Matt Wilde (106), Garrett Mauger (132), Chris Berry (145) and Elijah Jones (170). Mauger moved to within one of the 100-win mark by winning three of his four first-day bouts.
