DLN Roundup: Rustin advances with playoff win against Pottsgrove
In the first round of the District 1 5A Softball Playoffs, fifth-seeded West Chester Rustin topped No. 12 Pottsgrove 10-6 Monday. The host Knights were led at the plate by Kelly Fricker (2-for-3 with a home run), Olivia Garner (2-3, three RBI) and Taylor Kuhn (2-3, double). Starting pitcher Emily Gillis gave way to teammate Lauren Greenwood who went 41/3 innings, fanned five and earned the win.

Haverford 8, Coatesville 2 >> The Raiders season came to an end with a District 1 6A playoff loss to the 10th-seeded Fords. Paige Wilkins went 2-for-3 with a run-scoring triple for Coatesville. Anna Rutledge drove in the other run with a sacrifice fly and Kaitlyn Ward registered a double.
