Hoop heroes: Presenting 2022-23 All-Main Line boys basketball teams

The Main Line high school boys’ basketball scene featured a number of strong teams this past winter, particularly in the Central League.
Radnor (29-1) was the Central League champions, the PIAA District 1 5A champions and advanced to the PIAA 5A state quarterfinals. Lower Merion (24-6) advanced to the PIAA state tournament for the 13th year in a row, the longest consecutive current streak in the PIAA. Haverford High School earned the first back-to-back PIAA state tournament berths in school history, and Harriton (13-9), in its first season in Class 6A, advanced to the District 1 tournament.
Other strong local teams included Malvern Prep (18-9, Inter-Ac co-champions with Penn Charter), Archbishop Carroll (15-9) and Devon Prep (advanced to PIAA 3A state quarterfinals).
The All-Main Line high school boys’ basketball teams are selected by the coaches. Because Main Line Media News covers 19 high schools, the Main Line Media News sports staff limits the number of sports available to first team, second team and honorable mention – but follows the priority of the coaches’ selections.
