DLN Roundup: Kraft’s defense lifts Rustin past Unionville

Freshman Jenna Kraft made two diving catches in centerfield to preserves West Chester Rustin’s 3-2 Ches-Mont League American Division softball victory over Unionville on Wednesday.
Kraft also singled in the go-ahead run in the sixth inning for the Golden Knights.
Emily Gillis pitched a complete game with six strikeouts. Kelly Fricker singled and doubled.
Madison Parisi tossed a complete game and was 2-for-3 with a home run for the Longhorns, who also received a triple from Grace Levendis.

Oxford 17, Great Valley 2, 3 innings >> The Hornets exploded for nine runs in the first inning en route to the Ches-Mont American victory. Ashley Flynn went 4-for-4 with a RBI and three runs scored. McKenna Frank had three hits, including a home run, and a RBI. Natalia Donofrio, Emily Basilio and Grace Allen drove in three runs each. Emily Yost drove in both runs for the Patriots.

James Lambe doubled for East, while Dylan Hanson earned the win. Joe Mozzone was 2-for-3 with two runs scored for the Red Raiders.
