Plymouth Whitemarsh 6, Hatboro-Horsham 2: A hot start in the first inning, highlighted by back to back doubles by Rian Reed and Sam Skivo, put four runs on the board early for PW on Tuesday.
“The girls were excited for this game so I was happy they came out aggressively swinging vs. a tough pitcher in Alyssa Tooley,” PW Head Coach Mike Perez said. “Props to Bella Karpovich who came in a did a great job keeping our girls in check. And her sister Maddie did great behind the plate keeping her calm and focused. Their interactions were fun to watch.”
Sam Skivo led the offensive attack with three hits, one run and one RBI. Molly Moore, Anna Powel and Joslyn Perez all had two hits. Senior P Molly Moore recorded her 300th career strikeout with a strikeout in the fifth inning. She finished with a complete-game win, giving up five hits and one earned run, along with nine strikeouts.

Upper Dublin 6, Abington 0: Kyla Garrison tossed a three-hitter with eight strikeouts as the Cardinals picked up the win on Tuesday. Madden Reilly was 3-for-5 with a double, while Kaelin Penna and Garrison also had two hits. Rayla Kratchman, Anna Levin and Kaitlyn Zacharia all collected RBIs. Upper Dublin (6-1, 2-1) will travel to PW on Thursday.

Pennridge 14, CB East 7: Pennridge hit four home runs – including a Clara Barron two-run blast during an eight-run bottom of the fourth that erased a 5-2 deficit – as the Rams went on to double up visiting Central Bucks East for an SOL Colonial win. Averi Dockery hit a three-run shot to cap a four-run fifth. Pennridge (3-3, 1-2 division) got leadoff homers from Ryleigh Lilly in the first and Ashleigh Kenworthy in the second. Lilly added a triple and went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored while Kenworthy was 3-for-3 with three RBIs and scored twice. Dockery also doubled in going 2-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored. Olivia Crognale was 2-for-3 with an RBI and run scored while Barron finished 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run scored. Ava Catron was 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs and a run scored for East (1-6, 0-3).

Quakertown 10, Wissahickon 0 (5): Abbey Wagner struck out six in pitching a three-hit shutout while Katie Muller and Skyler Williams each had two RBIs as Quakertown earned an SOL Liberty win. Emma Hilton and Mary Wikinson both had two runs scored for the Panthers (8-0, 4-0 division), who plated a run in the third, fourth in the third and five in the fifth. Wissahickon (1-5, 0-3) lost its fifth straight.

Baseball
PW 7, Hatboro-Horsham 3: Johnny Giordano put Plymouth Whitemarsh up 4-3 with his three-run homer run in the bottom of the third while the Colonials added three more in the fifth – Gavin Rocks driving in the first two with his single – as they earned the SOL Liberty win. Luke Gartland was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored while Luke Caucci scored twice for PW (4-1, 3-0 division). Aiden Eckley led off the seventh with a homer and finished 2-for-3 for Hatboro-Horsham (4-2, 1-2), which collected 13 hits. Trey Porter was 2-for-4 with a run scored. Noah Schlosser went 2-for-3, Adriel Tiburcio was 2-for-2 while Stephen Plefka finished 2-for-4.

Upper Dublin 5, Abington 3: Upper Dublin broke a scoreless tie with four runs in the bottom of the fifth and held on to pick up the win in the SOL Liberty contest. Abington (1-4, 0-3 division) plated three runs in the top of the sixth – Logan Moss’ two-RBI single making it 4-3. The next batter was hit by a pitch to load the bases with one out but a strikeout out then an out on batter interference kept the Cardinals (3-3, 3-1) ahead. Eric Berman gave UD a two-run advantage with an RBI bunt single in the bottom of the sixth. Berman finished 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored. Bobby Keck had a two-RBI double in the fifth that made it 4-0.

Wissahickon 11, Quakertown 0 (5): Luke Frank finished 3-for-3 with two RBIs, Josh Palutis went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored as Wissahickon posted 11 hits in rolling to a SOL Liberty win. Adam Hajdak gave up six hits and a walk while striking out four in pitching a five-inning shutout for the Trojans (5-1, 3-1 division. Quakertown (1-5, 0-3) lost its fifth straight. In the bottom of the first, Kasey Weiss hit a bases-loaded, two-RBI single while Finn Olszewski followed with a two-RBI triple to make it 4-0. The Trojans scored a run in the second, another four in the third then tacked on two more in the fourth.

Upper Moreland 13, Springfield (Montco) 3: Colson Campbell had a great day at the plate, going 5-for-5 with two doubles, four RBIs and a run scored as Upper Moreland posted the first six runs and went on to claim a SOL Freedom win. Jimmy Torpey was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored for the Golden Bears (4-3, 3-2 division) while on the mound earned a complete-game victory, giving up three runs – one earned – on five hits, no walks and struck out nine. Jackson Townsend went 2-for-5 with two runs scored for UM. Patrick Kilgus had three RBI with Shawn Townsend, Nate Kelly and Shawn Herbert all scoring twice.

Dock Mennonite 15, CFS 0 (4): Deven Ross went 2-for-2 with a double, four RBIs and two runs scored as Dock Mennonite scored seven runs in each of the first two innings in cruising to a BAL victory. Nathan Lapp was 2-for-3 with three runs scored for the Pioneers. Sam Laux had a triple, two RBIs and runs scored, Josh Mascio doubled and collected three RBIs while Zach Neff, Matt Miles and Cooper Brannon all had two run scored

Boys lacrosse
Boyertown 8, CB East 6: Thomas Williams and Luke Christmas each scored two goals but the Patriots dropped the nonconference contest on Tuesday.

North Penn 7, Neshaminy 4: Caiden Myers scored five goals as the Knights pulled away for the win on Tuesday. Colin Ponyi added one goal and one assist for North Penn, while Connor Howard made 15 saves in net.

CB West 11, Souderton 9: Seth Grossman scored three goals and added one assist but the Indians fell short on Tuesday. John Martin Vince (1 assist) and Ty Quintois both scored two goals. Also scoring goals for Souderton were Tyson Bui and Sean Landis. Gavin Landis and Brody Anderson were also both credited with assists for Souderton. Matt Malanga came through with seven saves in net for Souderton.

Spring-Ford 14, Upper Merion 9: A five-goal outing from Will Fish (assist) and four goals from Hayden Wedemeyer (assist) sparked a PAC win for the Rams. Justin Wixted also paced Spring-Ford’s offense with four assists and a goal. Colin Song (assist), Brady Welsh, Ian Evans and Lance Terrizzi all had a goal each. Sean Hassis tallied one assist and Charlie Power had nine saves in net for the Rams. Casey Lamey and Justin Besz both scored hat tricks for the Vikings. Kevin Roseland (assist) found the back of the net twice and Collin McCormick (assist) added a goal. Nathan Youl made 19 saves for Upper Merion. Both teams were near even in ground ball, Upper Merion holding an 18-17 edge, but Spring-Ford outshot the Vikings 46-19.

Girls lacrosse
Archbishop Carroll 8, Owen J. Roberts 6: Carroll broke a 5-5 halftime tie by scoring 3 goals in the second half and defeated OJ Roberts 8-6 on Tuesday. Carroll was led by Ava Bleckley’s hat trick, 3 draw controls, and 2 assists. Key second half goals by Cate McConaghy and Lainey Straub (2) sealed the win for Carroll, who maintained possession the last 3:30 of the game. Goalie Bridget Robinson stopped 8 shots to earn the win. OJR was led by Alexa Vogelman’s 3 goals.

Souderton 21, Lower Moreland 6: Ang Borisow scored five goals and added three assists as the Indians won big in nonconference action on Tuesday. Avery Farina added four goals and two assists for Souderton, while Anah Petrovich and Tatum Andrews each added three goals. Carly Gavetti and Hannah Cornes each added two goals for Souderton.

CB East 11, Upper Perk 10: Paige Keller scored four goals as the Patriots survived a nonconference thriller on Tuesday. Sammy Kishel and Paige Dougherty each added three goals for CB East. Mary Kate Sitko scored four goals for Upper Perk.

Upper Merion 16, Pottsgrove 4: Ashley Evitts scored five goals and added two assists as the Vikings coasted to the win on Tuesday in PAC Frontier action. Sam Walmsley (four assists) and Olivia Smith added three goals apiece for Upper Merion, while Julianna Callison and Riley Robinson added two goals apiece. Brooke Olsen also scored for Upper Merion, while Julia Newby had an assist.

Girls track
CB East 98, Souderton 52: Peyton Krebs took first in the 200 and 400, while Janae Pettaway was first in the 100-meter dash (12.56) for the Indians on Tuesday in SOL Colonial action. Ava Mills was 2nd in the 100 with a new PR of 12.57 and was also second in the 200. Anita Josiah was first in the javelin (105-93) and third overall in the shot put. Kayla Adams-Jones was first in the shot put with a new PR of 30-01.

Methacton 108, Boyertown 42: Summer Mellow was a triple-winner, taking home first place in the 100 (11.99), 200 (25.07) and long jump (17.07) for the Warriors. Methacton was overwhelming on the track, winning 10 of 11 events.

Other scores: Wissahickon 98, Abington 40.

Boys volleyball
Souderton 3, North Penn 0: Nate Brown had 14 kills and 5 digs, while Ian Nice added 9 kills, 5 digs and 2 aces for the Indians in a SOL American sweep on Tuesday. Also standing out for Souderton were Derek Gilmore (5 kills, 2 blocks), Ethan Frattrelli (4 digs, 3 aces), Alec Kreiser (11 digs) and Levi Leatherman (27 assists).

Boys tennis
Abington 5, Pennridge 2: The Ghosts won 3 of 4 doubles matches and posted an SOL crossover win on Tuesday. The No. 1 duo of Eli Greeley/Will Goldstein highlighted the day with a three-set win at 6-7 (3), 6-3, 6-1 over Joshua Wurz/Kyle Motts. Also winning on the doubles slate for Abington were Breandon Eichenbaum/Cristian Hinkle (6-3, 6-2) at No. 3 doubles and Nate Sharp/Shane O’Donnell (6-2, 6-1) at No. 4 doubles. Pennridge bounced back with a win from Jordan Ea/Drake Warner at No. 2 doubles with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 three-setter of their own.

Upper Moreland 6, Bensalem 1: The Golden Bears lost just three singles games and coasted to the SOL Freedom win on Tuesday. Brady Saunders (6-1, 6-1), Aaron Snyder (6-0, 6-0) and Daniel Stewart (6-1, 6-0) were all dominant for Upper Moreland.
Boyertown 7, Norristown 0: The Bears overwhelmed the Eagles on Tuesday, not dropping a set. Brayden Burkhardt, Nick Gehriner and Luke Brisbois lost just a total of two games in singles action.

North Penn 7, Plymouth Whitemarsh 0: The Knights won a pair of three-setters and blanked the Colonials in an SOL crossover on Tuesday. Thenuk Perera pulled out a topsy-tursy 6-1, 3-6, 6-0 over Zachary Small at No. 2 singles in the match of the day. Jonathan Xu/Rayan Reddy were a close second with a marathon of a three-set victory, winning 6-0, 3-6, 7-5 (5) over Armin Zarbaft/Chase Charles.

Souderton 7, Pottsgrove 0: The Indians won the nonconference affair, losing just one set in the process. The doubles in fact did not drop a set with the No. 1 duo of Josh Antill/Landon Catto setting the tone with a 6-0, 6-3 victory.

Upper Merion 7, Upper Perkiomen 0: The Vikings won a pair of three-setters and blanked UP on Tuesday. Josiah Kotright won a thriller at No. 1 singles, winning 6-7 (7), 6-3, 7-5 over Henry Queeney. Kyle Marchese/Eytan Kuznits also won a thriller at No. 1 doubles, posting a routine 6-2, 3-6, 6-2 victory.
