Upper Dublin 4, Quakertown 1: The Cardinals only managed six hits, but it was enough to squeak out an SOL Liberty win on Tuesday. Brendan O’Brien finished with one hit and two RBIs, while Chase Sunday, Westley Gill and Jacob Cornbluth combined on a five-hitter.
Springfield 12, Tennent 2: Brett Smith tripled as the Spartans exploded for the five-inning, 10-run win. Smith added two runs and two RBIs, while Jim Halligan doubled twice for the Spartans and finished with three hits.
Softball
Quakertown 6, Upper Dublin 0: Abbey Wagner twirled a two-hitter as the Panthers collected the SOL Liberty win on Tuesday. Leah Schwalm paced Quakertown with three hits, while Kyle Garrison and Bella Fiore each had hits for Upper Dublin.
Boys tennis
Central Bucks East 6, Central Bucks South 1: The Patriots swept the singles matches and came away with the SOL Colonial victory on Tuesday. Yevgen Kuryanov, Alex Knayzkov and Alan Zhang were all impressive for East. The match of the day was at No. 2 singles where Knayzkov survived a patch first set to win 3-6, 6-0, 6-1 over Vivek Kamani.
Owen J. Roberts 7, Pope John Paul II 0: The Golden Panthers were blasted on Tuesday in PAC action. PJP II put up a good fight at No. 4 doubles where Miller Finkelmeier/Ben Hamilton lost in three sets by scores of 4-6, 6-4, 6-3. OJR swept the singles matches, losing just seven games.
Wissahickon 6, Quakertown 1: The Trojans lost just one game in doubles action and coasted to the SOL Liberty win on Tuesday. Kevin Lobo and Josh Yulsman set the tone with a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles.
Methacton 7, Perk Valley 0: The Warriors dropped just one set in picking up the PAC win on Tuesday. Akash Suresh dropped the first set in a tiebreaker before recovering to win 12 straight games. Dylan Wen and Ethan O’Brien posted straight set singles victories for Methacton.
Springfield Twp. 6, Upper Moreland 1: The Spartans swept the doubles action without dropping a set and picked up the SOL Freedom win on Tuesday. Brady Welsh and Jakob Klein set the tone at No. 1 doubles with a 6-4, 6-0 victory. In singles play Daniel Stewart got Upper Moreland’s lone point with an impressive 6-3, 6-3 win.

Girls lacrosse
Upper Merion 14, Pottstown 4: Julianna Callison scored two goals, including the 100th of her career, as the Vikings won big on Tuesday. Also scoring two goals for Upper Merion were Mackenzie Davis and Maura Besz. Scoring goals for Upper Merion were Olivia Smith (four assists), Brooke Olsen, Audrey Schuebel, Sam Walmsley, Chelsea Smith, Ashley Evitts, Jess Reinhardt and Sydney Reed. Tatetum Robbins scored twice for Pottstown.
Villa Maria 6, Mount St. Joseph 5: The Mount lost a heartbreaker on Tuesday in AACA action. Annie Shields made 12 saves, including her 400th career save, to keep Mount in the game. Scoring goals were Kate Donovan, Amelia Clair and Katie Westmoreland (3).
Methacton 15, Perk Valley 13: Michelled Zhai scored six goals and added five assists as the Warriors won a PAC Liberty thriller on Tuesday. Megan Sanelli added four goals and two assiss, while Piper Evangelisa scored three goals. Mackenzie Coupe and Lily DeWan also scored for Methacton.
Boys lacrosse
Lansdale Catholic 8, Pope John Paul II 7: Caleb Moister scored two goals and added three assists as the Crusaders surivived a thriller on Tuesday. Patch Flannery and Dan Curran also scored twice. Colin Cossman and Sean McMahon also scored for LC, while Jack Kennedy made 12 saves in net.
Souderton 13, CR South 5: The Indians rolled to the victory on Tuesday behind three goals each from John Martin Vince, Tyson Bui, Seth Grossman and Ty Quintois. Seth Landis also scored for Souderton, while Matt Malanga made 11 saves in net.
Girls track
Pennridge 86, Souderton 64: The Indians dropped the meet on Tuesday, but had several accomplishments. Janae Pettaway won the 100 (12.52), Peyton Krebs was first in the 200 (25.93), Laysha Lee took first in the long jump, Zoe Bass was first in the pole vault and Leah Fowler won the triple jump.
Boys volleyball
CB West 3, Souderton 1: The Bucks were too much for the Indians on Tuesday, but Jake Halteman finished with 15 kills for Soudertpon. Also for the Indians, Ian Nice had 14 kills, 6 blocks and 2 aces, while Derek Gilmore finished with 5 kills and 6 blocks. Matt Quizon added 6 blocks for Souderton, while Levi Leatherman chipped in with 39 assists.
