Girls soccer
North Penn 3, CB South 2: Lauren Blanch, Maddy Murphy and Kylie Holmes provided the scoring on Senior Night on Monday for North Penn. Abby Plaugher and Andie Salmon were credited with assists for the Knights.

Upper Dublin 2, Plymouth Whitemarsh 0: Anna DiMartile and Alex Devers scored the goals as the Cardinals (9-5-1) survived the Colonials (8-7-1) on Monday. Meg McMeel and Regan Rubin were credited with assists.

Mount St. Joe’s 1, Pope John Paul II 0: Only one half was played due to field conditions, but The Magic pulled out the nonconference win on Monday. PJP junior Kyanni Escudero made five saves in net for PJP.

Upper Moreland 3, Cheltenham 0: Kylie Wiest, Brooke Lobban and Willow Taylor scored the goals as the Golden Bears rolled to the SOL Freedom win on Monday. Willow Taylor was credited with two assists.
“We were able to get on the scoreboard early, and by doing so had some flexibility in positioning and play,” UM Head Coach Lisa Benvenuto said. “Today’s match was a collective team win, with contributions from all that stepped on the field.”

Boys soccer
CB East 2, Souderton 0: Chris McKenna made six saves in net but the Indians took the loss on Monday. The Indians (7-10) dropped to 32nd in the District 1-4A rankings with the loss.

Hatboro-Horsham 2, Quakertown 0: JR Fulginiti scored two goals as the Hatters (12-5) picked up the SOL Liberty win on Monday. Jake Freedman was credited with one assist, while Jeff Matulla recorded the shutout with five saves in net.

Field hockey
Villa Maria 2, Archbishop Carroll 1: The Patriots dropped a heartbreaker in nonconference action on Monday. Laura Wineburg put Carroll up 1-0 with a first-period goal. Midway through the third period, Gia Whalen from Villa scored on a penalty stroke to tie the game up at 1-1. Emma Connelly converted a corner shot for the gamewinner for Villa in the fourth period.

Girls volleyball
Gwynedd Mercy Academy 3, Souderton 2: The Indians lost a nonconference heartbreaker on Monday in five sets by scores of 17-25, 25-16, 21-25, 25-16 and 15-13. Standing out for Souderton were Teya McConaha (10 kills, 2 digs, 2 blocks), McKenna Murawski (9 kills, 9 digs, 2 blocks), Alexa Mazzeo (24 digs), Margaret Donnelly (19 assists, 8 digs) and Kay Guessford (3 kills, 3 aces, 6 digs).

CB West 3, Hatboro-Horsham 0: Alexis Barklage had nine kills, one block, two aces and two digs as the Bucks swept to the victory on Monday by scores of 25-19, 25-22 and 25-18. Also standing out for CB West were Rachel Hu (5 kills, 3 aces, 9 digs, 1 assist), Mackenzie Lund (3 kills, 3 aces, 2 blocks, 2 digs), Hollis Walton (5 kills, 1 ace, 1 block), Presley Adams (4 kills, 1 block), Elisa Kremser (1 kill, 1 block, 12 assists), Erin Ferello (10 assists, 1 ace), Alexa Lee (5 aces, 7 digs), Amber Woodring (7 digs) and Caroline Taylor (5 digs).
