Girls lacrosse
Wissahickon 14, Springfield-Montco 11 >> Emma Baker scored six goals as the Trojans (5-1, 2-0) survived a rally from the Spartans on Wednesday. Alexa McCabe added three goals, while Lex Hobson had a goal and two assists for Wiss. Emma Greenberg added four goals, while Emma Reilly dominated the defense with four caused turnovers and three ground balls.

Souderton 15, Neshaminy 1 >> Reiley Knize scored five goals, while Jess Burns added three goals and two assists as the Indians (5-2, 2-0) won big in SOL National action Wednesday. Tatum Andrews added two goals and two assists for Souderton, while Lauren Hallman scored two goals and dished one assist.

North Penn 13, Pennsbury 8 >> Emily Varilla scored five goals and held Pennsbury’s Darrien Furiness scoreless in a strong peformance to pace the Knights to their fifth consecutive win on Wednesday. Danielle Preston added three goals, while Kayla Stressman tallied two goals and two assists. Also scoring for North Penn (6-2, 4-0) were Jordan Baily, Kerry O’Donnell and Olivia Caputo.

Boys lacrosse
LC 18, O’Hara 3 >> Mikey Kleinert and Connor Mann each scored five goals as the Crusaders picked up another PCL win on Wednesday. Pat McKeever and Colin Corbett each tallied a goal and two assists, while Patch Flannery scored twice for LC. Also finding the back of the net for LC were Pat Cooney, Austin Lesher, JP Bayne and Andrew Montagna.

Pennridge 7, Springfield-Montco 6 OT >> Frankie Fanelli scored three goals, including the game-winner as the Rams (3-7) got the win on Wednesday. Drew Ferguson added two goals, while Ryan Carickhoff also scored for the Rams. Kieran Banks made 12 saves in net for Pennridge.

Baseball
Perk Valley 6, Methacton 2 >> PV ralled for three runs in the top of the 7th to pull away on Wednesday in PAC action. The Warriors’ Kross Howarth had a big day, going five strong innings and allowing seven hits and three runs. At the plate, Howarth added two hits and two RBIs. Jack Colyer scattered eight hits and two unearned runs over five innings in picking up the win fore PV.

Truman 4, Souderton 3 >> The Indians couldn’t let a 3-0 lead hold up and dropped the contest on Wednesday in eight innings. Grayson Norris started for Big Red (4-2) and went six strong innings, allowing two hits and two runs with nine strikeouts.

Pottsrove 13, PJP II 4 >> The Golden Panthers fell behind 8-0 after one inning and never recovered on Wednesday. Brendan Kenning and Dylan Simeone each hit doubles for PJP II.

Softball
PW 11, New Hope 0 >> Lauryn Lane and Rian Reed each hit home runs and the Colonials won big on Wednesday. Molly Moore also came through with two hits for PW, while Grace Carney and Madison Moran shared pitching duties for PW (3-3).

Upper Perk 7, Upper Merion 2 >> The Vikings fell behind 6-0 after two innings and never recovered on Wednesday. Maren DeStefano paced the Upper Merion offense with three hits and an RBI.

Methacton 14, Perk Valley 0 >> Kayla Kaufman and Nicole Timko hit home runs as the Warriors won going away on Wednesday in PAC play. Riley Kairer and Tori Bockrath each added a pair of doubles, while Courtney Freese allowed two hits over five innings.

Tennent 1, Upper Dublin 0 >> The Panthers (5-1) won a thriller in nine innings when Morgan Kocher singled, stole second and scored on a single from Lainey Scotese. Katie LaPlunt picked up the win with three innings of one-hit relief. Upper Dublin’s Chloe Foster took the loss despite striking out 18 batters and scattering seven hits.

Boys tennis
Pottsgrove 7, Norristown 0 >> The Falcons lost just three games in rolling to the PAC victory. All of Pottsgrove singles players posted 6-0, 6-0 wins.

CB East 5, CB West 2 >> The Bucks were dominant at the top of the lineup, but the Patriots’ depth was too much on Wednesday. The duo of Pierston Stallings/Alex Knyakov picked up a thrilling win in a third-set tiebreak 7-6 (6), 6-7 (8), 1-0 (10-8)at No. 2 doubles over Soumil Sharma/Jonathan Cawley to sway the match in East’s favor.

Upper Dublin 7, Hatboro-Horsham 0 >> The Cardinals (3-2) lost just five games in overwhelming the Hatters in SOL Liberty action on Wednesday. Scott Schlackman set the tone with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2 singles.

Wissahickon 6, Quakertown 1 >> Even without their top two singles players, the Trojans (5-1) made quick work of the Panthers. Wiss swept the doubles flights, losing just a total of six games. Daniel Yun and Richard Wang were also impressive for Wiss, stepping in at singles and winning in straight sets.

Boys volleyball
Dock 3, Pennsbury 0 >> The Pioneers picked up a big nonconference win on Wednesday, finishing off the Falcons in straight sets by scores of 25-21, 25-23 and 25-22. The Pioneers finished the match with 25 kills, 9 aces, 15 digs, and four stuff blocks.
