Softball
Hatboro-Horsham 6, Plymouth Whitemarsh 3 >> The Hatters (2-3, 2-1) scored two runs each in the fourth and fifth innings and pulled away for the SOL Liberty win on Tuesday. Megan Mills, Abby Waeltz and Tess Kearney each collected mutliple hits with Mills leading the way with three hits. Lauryn Kane and Sam Skivol had multiple hits for the Colonials (1-3, 1-2) with two each. Alyssa Tooley earned the win for the Hatters, allowing seven hits and three runs over six innings, striking out seven.
Mount St. Joseph 6, Upper Dublin 3 >> The Mount (2-4) broke the game open with five runs in the fifth inning and picked up the nonconference win on Tuesday. Emily Vinapl picked up the win with four innings of work, striking out five and allowing three hits and one run. Vinal added two doubles and an RBI. Charlotte Gale closed the game with three innings of relief, scattering six hits and two earned runs. Madden Reilly and Lizzie Tambourino each had two hits for Upper Dublin (1-5).
Archbishop Wood 11, Bonner and Prendergast 0 >> Dakota Fanelli twirled a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts as the Vikings picked up the PCL win on Tuesday. Maura Yoos went 3-for-3 with a two-run triple, while Paige Ross doubled and drove in three runs. Also having multiple hits were Fanelli and Kiersten Reeser. Abby Windish added two RBIs, while Biz James scored twice.
Baseball
Pope John Paul II 7, Upper Merion 1 >> Sophomore Blake High got the win in his first start, allowing two hits and one unearned run in four innings of work for the Golden Panthers (1-3). Noah Brandt, Chase Frantz and Nik Rubenhall went a combined 6-for-8 with 7 RBIs. Rubendall added a home run for PJP II. Brad Zielinski scattered eight hits and just two earned runs in 6 innings of work for Upper Merion (1-3).
Boys Volleyball
Souderton 3, Central Bucks South 1 >> The Indians (2-4) picked up the win with a 25-14, 22-25, 25-20 and 25-22 victory on Tuesday. Nate Brown led the way with 16 kills, while JC Peacock added six kills and six aces. Tobie Lias added three kills, while Derek Gilmore had two kills.
Pennridge 3, North Penn 1 >> The Rams (5-1) dropped the first set 25-27, but then rallied in the next three sets 25-21, 25-18 and 25-19 to pick up the win on Tuesday. Riley Kodidek led the way with 42 assists, 12 digs and two blocks, while Tyler Johnson added nine kills, two blocks and four aces for the Rams. Also standing out for Pennridge were Nick Smith (8 kills, 4 blocks), Thomas McKinney (12 kills, 12 digs, 5 blocks), Jude Rotondo (14 kills), Alex Derk (14 digs, two aces) and Ty Porter (8 digs).
Boys Tennis
Quakertown 4, Hatboro-Horsham 3 >> The Hatters put up a good fight before dropping the SOL Liberty match on Tuesday. Nicholas Chan picked up a 6-3, 7-5 win at No. 2 singles to keep Hatboro-Horsham within reach.
Central Bucks South 7, Abington 0 >> CB South only dropped one set en route to the victory on Tuesday. Abington’s Brendan Mo continues to impress and had the days’ best match, falling 6-2, 1-6 6-3 at No. 3 singles to Alex Dash.
Holy Ghost Prep 4, North Penn 2 >> The Knights (2-5) fell short in nonleague play despite dominant action at the top of the lineup. No. 1 Hansana Perara and No. 2 Aditya Ingle both won in straight sets, but that was all the Knights could get on Tuesday.
Central Bucks West 7, Pennridge 0 >> The Bucks did not drop a set in overwhelming the Rams on Tuesday in a SOL Colonial match on Tuesday. Alexander Kouznetsov and Andrei Bogdan set the tone with a pair of 6-0, 6-0 wins at the top of the lineup for CB West (8-0, 4-0).
Boys Lacrosse
Pope John Paul II 14, Interboro 2 >> Connor Gucwa scored two goals and added seven assists, while Ian Young and Luke Sykes both had three goals and two assists for the Golden Panthers (2-2) on Tuesday. Dillon Murphy won 14 of 16 faceoffs, while Sean Fallon had 10 saves for the Panthers. Ryan Lamson added three goals and one assist for PJP II.
Council Rock North 12, North Penn 10 >> Connor Toussaint and Lars Homan each scored four goals, but the Knights (4-3, 2-1) dropped the SOL National contest on Tuesday. Jake Myers and Billy Homony also scored for North Penn, while Matt Kuhn made 14 saves in net.
Spring-Ford 13, Upper Merion 4 >> The Vikings fell behind 6-0 at the half and dropped the PAC contest on Tuesday. Kevin Roseland scored two goals, while Casey Lamey and Andrew Haney also added goals. Rocco Lindelow made 18 saves in net for Upper Merion.
Girls Lacrosse
Archbishop Carroll 22, Bonner and Prendergast 1 >> Fifteen different players found the back of the net for Carroll led by Machaela Henry’s hat trick and five other players added two goals each. Goalie Bridge Robinson got the win, stopping two shots in net.
Lansdale Catholic 17, St. Hubert 2 >> Emily Simpson and Sam Beyerle each scored five goals as the Crusaders won going away on Tuesday in PCL action. Ava Mercier added three goals and five assists, while Grace Marchese aldo scored three goals for LC. Caroline Kerr had two saves in net for the Crusaders.
Owen J. Roberts 19, Norristown 0 >> Nineteen different players scored a goal in OJR’s home 19-0 victory over Norristown. OJR focused on assisted goals and came away with 15 dimes.
