Germantown Academy 53, Imhotep Charter 35 >> The Patriots raced to a 31-15 halftime advantage and coasted to the nonconference win on Sunday at the Blue Star Invitational . Isabella Casey led the way for the Patriots with 20 points and 6 rebounds.
Archbishop Carroll 43, Montclair Immaculate Conception (N.J.) 30 >> The Patriots led after every quarter and picked up the win on Sunday at the Blue Star Invitational. Brooke Wilson led the way with 16 points, including 8 from the free throw line in the fourth quarter. Grace O’Neill added 13 while Taylor Wilson chipped in with 11. The Patriots (7-3) resume PCL action Tuesday night against West Catholic.
Boys Basketball
Lincoln Leadership Academy 75, Jenkintown 66 >> Jake Hilton did his part but the Drakes fell short on Saturday in a nonconference affair. Hilton scored 33 points, including 10-of-10 from the free throw line, but the Drakes came up a little short. Danny Ecker added 13 for Jenkintown.
Archbishop Wood 82, Cardinal O’Hara 58 >> Justin Moore and Jalil Bethea each scored 19 points as the Vikings won big on Sunday in PCL action. Wood outscored O’Hara in every quarter in rolling to the victory.
Wrestling
Wissahickon at Matsplosion Duals >> The Wissahickon wrestling team traveled to F&M College for the Matsplosian Dual Meet Tournament on Saturday. The Trojans came away with a 2-3 record defeating Academy Park 54-15 and Executive Education 60-3 while losing to Central Bucks West 48-18, Coatsville 44-30 and Great Valley 42-34.
Outstanding performances were put in by junior Nathanael Chez at 5-0, senior Joey Connolly at 4-1, freshman Tyler Prince at 4-1 and sophomore Tyler Franczyk at 3-0. Next up for the Trojans is a dual meet at Hatboro-Horsham on Wednesday night.
