Q: You first started playing quarterback in eighth grade. What first sparked your interest in the quarterback position? Who have been your top quarterback mentors, and what has been the most important thing each of them taught you?

A: I’ve always loved throwing the football ever since I was a kid. Stephen Richter and Pat Devlin have mentored me over the past couple of years. They have given me great tips that have helped me get to where I am today.

Q: Who is your favorite quarterback and why?

A: My favorite quarterback is probably Patrick Mahomes because of all the different throws he can make on the field.

Q: You threw three touchdowns to Peter Detwiler in the Pioneers’ 34-16 victory against Marple Newtown Oct. 22. Which of the three TDs was most memorable to you – tell us a little about the play.

A: I would say the second touchdown on fourth and one was my favorite because it was a crucial part in the game. We knew they were going to bring everyone and play press coverage, so we adjusted, and it worked out well.

Q: You’ve been throwing passes to Peter Detwiler for several years. Tell us a little about the quarterback-receiver bond you’ve developed.

A: Peter and I have been playing with each other for a while now and can really lean on each other to make plays when they are needed to be made. I first started playing quarterback in 8th grade and that’s when we started to build a connection along with my other receiver, Pat Reilly.

Q: Tell us a little about your role as a play-caller. Can you change the call at the line of scrimmage?

A: I try not to say much. I trust my coaches to make the right calls and we try to execute what is called.

Q: What is your favorite course at Conestoga? What do you think you’d like to major in at college?

A: My favorite course is English. I hope to play football in college and am currently undecided on my major.
