Chester County Football: District 1 playoff points

With eight weeks in the books for the scholastic football season Chester County is well represented in the District 1 playoff point race. With 16 team qualifying for both the 5A and 6A playoffs, as it stands now West Chester Rustin is the top seed in the 5A bracket.

The Golden Knights will be favored in each of their next two games against Great Valley and Sun Valley and are the favorite right now to secure the top spot in the 5A playoff bracket.

In the 6A bracket Coatesville and Downingtown East are currently tied at number three in the 6A bracket. The two teams will meet in week 10 and the winner of that game will land in the top four of the district while the loser of that game will likely end up somewhere in the top eight in the 6A bracket, which will guarantee at least one home game in the district playoffs.
