Wissahickon 7, Upper Dublin 0 >> In a key SOL Liberty showdown, the Trojans were too much for the Cardinals on Monday. Wiss dominated singles action, dropping just six games in three matches. Ella Chang set the tone with a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles. The best match of the day came down to No. 4 doubles where Hannah Yum and Sevin Wang pulled out a 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 three-setter.
Methacton 7, Pottstown 0 >> The Warriors didn’t drop a game in rolling to the PAC win on Monday.
Spring-Ford 7, Boyertown 0 >> The Rams lost just two games in overwhelming the Bears on Monday. It was a clean sweep of the doubles as Spring-Ford didn’t lose a game there.
Perk Valley 7, PJP II 0 >> PJP’s Tess Crossen put up a good fight at No. 1 singles, falling to Perk Valley’s Gracie Strohecker 4-6, 6-3, 6-0 in a three-setter on Monday. PV coasted in the rest of the flights in picking up the PAC win.
PW 7, Springfield 0 >> Hope Nasatir gutted out a 7-5, 2-6, 10-8 win in a third-set tiebreaker at No. 1 singles for PW as the Colonials coasted the win on Monday. The rest of the PW lineup did not drop a set as the Colonials picked up the non-league win.
Golf
North Penn 191, Souderton 207 >> Haley Ekert carded a 36 and Connor Toussaint added a 37 for the Knights on Monday at Pinecrest. No. 7 golfer Josh Kim also chipped in with a 39 for the Knights, while Ken Kreitz’s 39 paced the Indians.
Methacton 195, Pottsgrove 226 >> EJ Meyer carded a 37 as the Warriors picked up the PAC win on Monday. Mike Liu chipped in with a 39, while Colin Meyer and Matthew Rieger both carded 40s.
Upper Merion 211, Upper Perk 216 >> The balanced Vikings got 41s from Audrey Schuebel, Alyssa Schuebel and RJ Monroe on Monday in a PAC victory. Upper Perk’s Nate Reinhart also carded a 41.
Pope John Paul 11 194, Owen J. Roberts 199 >> Adam Profrock carded a 36 as the Golden Panthers picked up the win at Kimberton on Monday.
Boys soccer
Lower Moreland 2, Springfield 0 >> Tim Kroll and Gabriel Krutsinger provided the offense for LM on Monday. Julian Casabon made 12 saves in net for Springfield.
Girls soccer
Upper Moreland 4, Tennent 3 >> The Golden Bears stormed back from a 3-0 first-half deficit and pulled out the win on Monday. Kyra Favors scored two goals, while Emma Frasca added a goal and an assist. The game wasn’t decided until Brooke Lobban delivered the game winner at the 73:32 mark. Theresa Ditri scored twice for Tennent.
Abington 4, PW 0 >> Lily Gray, Harper McGinley, Maura Day and Taylor Reilly provided the goals for the Ghosts on Monday.
Pennridge 6, Souderton 0 >> The Indians kept it close for 35 minutes, but the Rams outscored them 5-0 over the final 45. Scoring for Pennridge were Leah Malone (2), Liv Grenda, Tori Angelo, Joey Tomlinson and Lindsey Balmer.
Field hockey
CB South 2, North Penn 0 >> Kiera Holt made six saves in net for the Knights on Monday. Scoring for South were Anna Shirley and Erin Smith.
Springfield-Montco 2, Lower Moreland 0 >> After a scoreless first half, Annie Coll broke thorugh on an assist by Emma Yoder with 12:12 left in the third quarter for Springfield-Montco. Hailey Lesniak added the backbreaker with 7:59 left in the third off an assist from Norah Conlin. Goalie Erin Roy secured the shutout with six saves.
Methacton 1, Spring-Ford 0 >> Elena Snodgrass scored the lone goal of the game in a PAC Liberty contest on Monday.
Owen J. Roberts 9, Norristown 0 >> Seven different Wildcats found the back of the net in Monday’s PAC Liberty win.
Girls Volleyball
North Penn 3, Wissahickon 0 >> The Knights swept their way to the win on Monday by scores of 25-15, 25-15 and 25-12. Leading the way for North Penn was Katherine Hanley with 6 aces and 7 kills. Also standing out for North Penn were Kiley McTaggart (7 kills, 6 digs0, Leila Eid (18 digs, 2 aces), Emma Thornton (6 kills, 5 digs) and Charlotte Patterson (30 assists, 3 kills).
Spring-Ford 3, Methacton 1 >> The Rams won the match 25-22, 25-14, 13-25 and 25-7 on Monday. The Warriors were led by Kayla Ginther and Clare Claudy who each had eight kills and Mandy Baldwin with 7 kills and 6 aces.
CR North 3, Souderton 0 >> The Indians dropped the match on Monday 25-15, 25-18 and 25-21. Alyssa Reiner was a bright spot for Souderton with 14 kills, 3 aces, 3 digs and 1 block. Also for Souderton standing out were Nikki Hamilton (22 assists, 2 digs), Alexa Mazzeo (9 digs) and Alli Sauerwald (5 kills, 2 aces, 1 dig).
LC 3, Owen J. Roberts 1 >> The Crusaders overcame an 8-point deficit in the fourth set Monday with Julie Orzechowski serving eight in a row to bring the Crusaders back in the game. LC picked up the win 25-21, 22-25, 25-23 and 27-25.
Upper Merion 3, PJP II 1 >> Upper Merion defeated Pope John Paul II in 4 sets on Monday night by scores of 9-25, 25-17, 25-19 and 25-21. Vanessa Hutchinson had an incredible 49 digs while Sophia Schweikert led the offense with 27 kills. Caitlyn Daywalt had 28 assists while Julia Giammarco contributed 13 service points and 14 digs. Yalerie Acevado had 3 aces among her 8 service points. The victory raises the Vikings’ PAC record to 4-1 (4-2 overall).
