HIGHLIGHTS: Alexa Leaman scored two goals to lead the Falcons over the Phantoms in Friday’s Pioneer Athletic Conference (Frontier Division) opener.
Leah Henzes scored the third goal for Pottsgrove. Leaman was assisted on her tallies by Emily Vishio (off a corner) and Emma Gonzalez (off a cross).

Highlights: Liv Watt and Raven Wellington each had goals, while Erika Eickhoff needed to make just five saves as Spring-Ford opened the season with a 2-0 win over Rustin at the Henderson Tournament.
Brooke Pappa assisted on Watt’s score. Spring-Ford outshot Rustin 16-5 on the day and held a 4-0 advantage on corners.
Methacton 0, Upper Dublin 0, 2OT
HIGHLIGHTS: Junior goalkeeper Mairi Smith made 8 saves to earn her first shutout of the season, the Warriors playing the Cardinals all even through regulation and two overtimes Friday.
Sophomore Aubrey Beaugard’s second half shot off of the crossbar was as close as either team got to scoring. Shots were 11-7 in favor of Methacton. Each team had 2 corners.

HIGHLIGHTS: Landon Shivak figured in on both the Falcons’ goals Friday as they opened the 2021 season by blanking the Red Devils.
Shivak assisted on Chris Drager’s tally at the 16:05 mark in the second half, then scored unassisted with 3:55 left. Pottsgrove edged SV in shots on goal, 3-2.

Highlights: Brendan Miller netted the OT game-winner to lift WC East over Methacton in their season opener.

A hot start by Unionville with three first-quarter goals carried it past the Rams in a non-league opener. Brooke Phillips, Siena Pitone and Molly Main tallied for the Longhorns before Emma Friend (Alexa Collins assist) and Marissa Cagliola (Eva Drumbore assist) got SF back into the contest in the final frame.

HIGHLIGHTS: Ashley Kriebel made 14 kills Friday, helping the Blazers top the Red Devils in Berks League action. Set scores were 25-20, 17-25, 25-21 and 25-21.
Along with Kriebel, Boone got big individual efforts from Stephanie George (six kills, two blocks), Aubrey Hunt (five kills, five aces, nine digs) and Jayda Kugler (25 assists).

Methacton swept via set scores of 25-16, 25-13, 25-14 in Friday’s opener. The Methacton offense was led by senior Mel Eglinton with 10 kills and 4 aces and senior Meg Haftl with 33 assists and 7 aces.
