Reporter Girls Basketball Roundup: CB West clinches share of SOL Continental
Central Bucks West 74, Pennridge 52 >> Central Bucks West led 23-9 after a quarter then pulled away in the third as the Bucks clinched at least a share of the SOL Continental title Friday night.
West (13-3, 9-0 conference), which won its second straight was up 40-28 at halftime then outscored Pennridge 19-8 in the third.
Ashley Gordon paced the Rams (9-6, 4-4) with 11 points while Corinn Mart and Evelyn Loughery each scored nine points.
Souderton 36, Central Bucks South 31 >> Olivia Schneider led Souderton with 10 points as the Indians earned an SOL Continental win.
Jordan Zimmerman and Casey Harter both finished with eight points while Mikaela Reese recorded six points, six assists and three blocks for the Indians (11-5, 4-5), who led 21-18 at halftime.
Taylor Hinkle scored a game-high 13 points for Central Bucks South (5-11, 2-7).
Upper Moreland 56, Hatboro-Horsham 55 >> Bean Hughes scored 12 of her game-high 24 points in the first quarter as Upper Moreland held on to edge Hatboro-Horsham for a third straight win.
EmmyFaith Wood had 10 points for the Golden Bears (10-7, 6-4 SOL American), who jumped out to a 20-6 lead. The Hatters pulled within 38-31 at the end of the third and outscored UM 24-17 in the fourth.
Alice Hall scored 14 of her team-high 20 points after halftime for the Hatters (9-9, 5-5 SOL American) while Cam Ryan added 17 points. Emily Thomas scored all 14 of her points in the second half.
Plymouth Whitemarsh 64, Cheltenham 14 >> Gabby Cooper collected a game-high 13 points, Anna McTamney recorded 12 points and Plymouth Whitemarsh improved to 17-0 (10-0 SOL American).
