Reporter Boys Basketball Roundup: North Penn tops Pennsbury; Wissahickon wins 6th straight
North Penn 70, Pennsbury 49 >> Josh Jones finished with 24 points as North Penn rolled to a second straight win in Tuesday’s SOL nonconference matchup.
Joe Larkins scored 11 points while Rob Carangi posted 10 points for the Knights (6-10, 2-5 SOL Continental), who led 36-23 at halftime.
Wissahickon 64, Hatboro-Horsham 38 >> Harrison Williams had a big night from beyond the arc, hitting six 3-pointers in scoring a game-high 20 points as Wissahickon won its sixth in a row to get above .500 for the first time this season.
Matt Compas scored 10 of his 18 points in the first quarter as the Trojans (9-8, 7-2 SOL American) jumped out to a 25-11 lead after eight minutes.
N’Gianni Cerisier paced Hatboro-Horsham (1-15, 0-9 SOL American) with 12 points.
Cheltenham 63, Upper Dublin 54 >> Upper Dublin’s Drew Stover went for a game-high 27 points but Cheltenham built an 11-point lead after three quarters and held off the visiting Cardinals to stay unbeaten in the SOL American.
Justin Moore hit four 3-pointers to lead the Panthers (15-2, 9-0 conference) with 20 points while Jaelen McGlone finished with 14 points. Cheltenham took a 36-28 lead at halftime then edged UD 16-13 in the third to hold a 52-41 advantage.
Stover collected 13 points in the first quarter while Amare Johnson had 11 points for the Cardinals (8-8, 3-6)
Central Bucks West 51, Souderton 47 >> Central Bucks West used balanced scoring – led by Terry Spratt and Jack Neri each recording a team-high 10 points – to top visiting Souderton for an SOL Continental victory.
Jason Price posted a game-high 19 points while Evan Kutzler added 10 points for the Indians (10-7, 4-4 conference), who had a two-game win streak snapped.
Owen Haney had nine points while Mika Munari and Dan Miller collected eight and seven points, respectively for the Bucks (12-5, 5-3), who led 21-15 at halftime. West was still up six (32-26) entering the fourth, a cushion enough to hold on after Souderton took the final period 21-19.
Pennridge 7o, Quakertown 35 >> Connor Pleibel made a trio of 3-pointers in scoring a game-high 14 points as Pennridge stayed perfect in SOL Continental play.
Trent Fisher had 12 points while Colin Monahan collected 11 points for the Rams (12-3, 7-0 conference), who outscored Quakertown 19-4 in the second quarter to go into halftime up 31-11.
Matt Tuley’s 10 points led the Panthers (1-15, 0-8).
Plymouth Whitemarsh 71, Springfield-Montco 60 >> Caelin Peters powered the Plymouth Whitemarsh offense with 33 points the Colonials have now won two straight and five of their past six.

Central Bucks East 54, Central Bucks South 40 >> Joe Jackman hit four 3-pointers in scoring 23 points while Jack Hamilton was a point shy of a double-double, collecting nine points, 14 rebounds and six blocks in Central Bucks East’s SOL Continental victory.
Brett Young registered 10 points and three steals for the Patriots (11-7, 5-3), who won their second straight. Jackson grabbed five rebounds and score eight points in both the third and fourth quarters.
Michael Farley had a team-high 10 points for Central Bucks South (9-7, 4-4).
Germantown Academy 39, Haverford School 35 >> Jordan Longino finished with 15 points as Germantown Academy picked up an Inter-Ac victory.
Jake Hsu added 11 points for the Patriots (11-7, 3-2 league). Zach Genther led Haverford School (6-11, 1-4) with 13 points while Bernie Rogers posted 11 points.
Jenkintown 47, Bristol 44 >> Clinton Jackmon was prolific from long range, knocking down seven 3-pointers in a 30-point performance as Jenkintown edged Bristol for a second straight win.
Jadan Welch had a late steal and basket for the Drakes (4-11, 4-5 BAL Constitution) while Will Krinvic provided clutch free throws.
Nick Lochel’s 15 points paced Bristol (6-9, 1-8 BAL Presidents). Jaylon Hammond had 14 points for the Warriors while Elijah Alexandre chipped in 11 points.
