McErlane powers Notre Dame in OT win
Maeve McErlane was perfect at the line Tuesday night to help Notre Dame escape with a 59-54 Inter-Ac League victory over Baldwin in overtime.
McErlane went 10-for-10 and finished with a game-high 26 points. Allie Lynch backed McErlane with 15 points. The Irish outscored the Golden Bears, 9-4, in the extra session.

Episcopal Academy 58, Springside Chestnut Hill Academy 29 >> Gaeli Keffer-Scharpf tallied nine of her game-high 14 points in the first half as the Churchwomen opened up a 27-12 lead. Cara Harty added 12 points.
In the Catholic League:
Archbishop Carroll 53, Archbishop Ryan 43 >> The Patriots jumped out to a 14-5 lead and never looked back. Erin Sweeney led the way with 16 points. Grace O’Neill pitched in with 11 and Taylor Wilson 10 for Carroll (8-4, 2-3).
Archbishop Wood 60, Bonner-Prendergast 42 >> The Vikings held the Pandas to six points in the second quarter to stay undefeated in the Catholic League. Ryanne Allen paced Wood with a game-high 21 points.
Bridie McCann tallied 17 points, Alexis Eagan nine and Alexis Gleason six for Bonner-Prendie.
Cardinal O’Hara 71, West Catholic 68 >> Amaris Backer scored all 14 of her points in the second half to lift the Lions past the Burrs in overtime.
Sydni Scott paced O’Hara with 20 points. Siobhan Boylan chipped in with 13.
In the Del Val League:
Academy Park 60, Chichester 21 >> Gabrielle Jackson, Semaji Young and Sierra Thomas combined for 43 points to pace the Knights. Jackson led the way with 18 points, Young had 13 and Thomas 12.
Daejaha Basemore and Marissa Taylor had nine points each for Chi.
Penn Wood 64, Chester 26 >> La’Shonda Smith led three players in double figures with 13 points. Jada Hutt (12) and Ashley Cyrus (11) helped the Patriots lead from start to finish.
Denaysia Smith topped the Clippers with seven points.
In the Catholic Academies League:
St. Basil 55, Sacred Heart 36 >> The Panthers limited the Lions to three points in the third quarter. Kathryn Gallagher led SHA with a career-high 12 points. Kayleigh Doyle pitched in with six.
In nonleague action:
Chester Charter Scholars Academy 35, Sun Valley 32 >> The Sabers outscored the Vanguards, 15-9, in the fourth quarter to erase a 23-20 deficit.
Brianna Miller led CCSA with nine points. Keymbrah Blackwell and D’Ayztha Atkinson chipped in with eight points each.
Micaylah Heygood, Rory Tiedeman and Aliecela Whitfield paced Sun Valley with eight points each.
