Springfield gets the best of Ridley in overtime

Dana Mirigliano, Shannon Gallagher and Arden Turner all scored one goal in helping Springfield pull out a 3-2 Central League overtime victory over Ridley.

Nora Larkin finished with five saves in the cage.

Krista Geibler and Kylie McNicholas had one goal apiece and goalkeeper Jordan Polillo made 10 saves for the Green Raiders.

Radnor 4, Strath Haven 1 >> Hope Delaney tied the game at 1-1 then Margaret Mooney gave the Raiders the lead. Barbara Civitella assisted on Mooney’s go-ahead goal then closed out the scoring with the final two goals of the day.

Penncrest 5, Upper Darby 0 >> Heather Steward scored five minutes into the game and Jane Yosua put two in the back of the net, including one from Alana Laliberte to put the Lions in the driver seat. Sam Woolery added a goal of her own and Sophia Saulino chipped in a goal and an assist for Penncrest, which held the Royals to one shot on goal.

In the Catholic Academies League:

Mount St. Joseph 4, Sacred Heart 1 >> Plum Riga found Mary Lauren Franz for the Lions’ lone goal of the contest and Abby Braun had nine saves.
