Garveys help O’Hara beat Lansdale Catholic

Kelly Garvey collected 24 assists and two digs to pace Cardinal O’Hara to a 3-1 hard-fought victory over Lansdale Catholic.

Bridget McGuinn had 13 kills, two blocks and three aces in the 25-23, 17-25, 26-25, 25-20 win for the Lions (4-1, 2-0). Isa Kirchner contributed eight kills and two blocks while Lauren Garvey had eight kills, one block, three assists and 10 digs.

Bonner & Prendergast 3, West Catholic 0 >> Lindsey Fagan erupted for 11 aces to go along with five assists for the Pandas (4-1, 3-0), who won 25-4, 25-7, 25-8. Omotayo Ogunbiyi had three aces and three kills and Gianna DiAngelo chipped in four aces.

In the Ches-Mont League:

Sun Valley 3, Great Valley 0 >> Hannah Vickers (12 kills, 14 assists, four aces) and Kristine Guenther (seven kills, 17 assists) carried the Vanguards to a commanding victory. Rachel DeCarlo chipped in 17 digs and Jordan Thompson had four blocks and five kills.

In nonleague action:

Ridley 3, Phoenixville 0 >> Angela April sent home a school-record 26 kills to pace the Green Raiders.

Madison Vinovrski had 10 kills, Riley Finnegan added 16 digs and Casey Tinney and Emily Liberio totaled 21 assists each for in the 28-25, 25-11, 25-15 victory for the Green Raiders.

Chichester 3, Chester Charter 0 >> Madison Snyder powered the Eagles with six aces, five kills and five assists and Hope Corrales added four aces, a kill and an assist. The individual game scores were 25-13, 25-11, 25-20.

Avery McLaughlin had two kills and three assists and Haley Speed had two aces for Chichester.
